Hopelessly Stupid – Met Office And UEA CRU Refuse To Learn!

What is it going to take? They deny their own data and insist fantasy is correct.

The MAIL Online writes today has an excellent report, and starts with:

The supposed ‘consensus’ on man-made global  warming is facing an inconvenient challenge after the release of new temperature data showing the planet has not warmed for the past 15 years…based on readings from more than 30,000 measuring stations.”

Yet the MetOffice, the supplier of that data, says (the MAIL writes):

“…because the impact of the sun on climate is far less than man-made carbon dioxide. Although the sun’s output is likely to decrease until 2100, ‘This would only cause a reduction in global temperatures of 0.08C.’ Peter Stott, one of the authors, said: ‘Our findings suggest  a reduction of solar activity to levels not seen in hundreds of years would be insufficient to offset the dominant  influence of greenhouse gases.”

Is Stott sane, or what! What little reduction we’ve had in solar activity in just the last 4 years has already offset the GHG effect – no warming in 15 years! The MAIL writes:

In 2007, the Met Office claimed that global warming was about  to ‘come roaring back’. It said that between 2004 and 2014 there would be an  overall increase of 0.3C. In 2009, it predicted that at least three of the years 2009 to 2014 would break the previous temperature record set in 1998.”

Wrong on every count. And so what is their reaction? Here’s what the MAIL tells us:

But yesterday a Met Office spokesman insisted its models were still valid.

This is more than stupid – it’s hopelessly stupid. Even though the models don’t work, they insist they’re still valid. This is like saying the well is poisoned, but the water is still safe to drink!

The MAIL interviewed Nicola Scarfetta, who says that eventually they are going to have to admit they are wrong. Judith Curry was more direct, saying: “…the models may have severe shortcomings…’ and that “many scientists’not surprised'”.

Readers, if you like this Mail article, then you are going to like Sebastian Lüning’s and Fritz Vahrenholt’s book: Die kalte Sonne (The Cold Sun). The lay it all out. Only morons and blind ideologues will go on continuing to believe the CO2 bullshit.

CRU and Met Office bet the farm on Svensmark being wrong. The TSI change is all they accept, and that would indeed have only a tiny effect, if proxies are right about TSI changes during Maunder minimum et.al.

But look at page 8 of Jasper Kirkby’s presentation – the 10Be proxies for the last 2000 years and how they correlate with the temperatures.

Be worried. Be VERY worried. And not about warming.

Only morons and blind ideologues will go on continuing to believe the CO2 bullshit.

Maybe you could add a few other tainted classifications to your list of believers – for example:
    * Rent seekers of the renewables industry.
    * Beneficiaries of grants funded empires of climate science.
    * Merchant bankers salivating expectantly in anticipation of their cut of the multitrillion dollar hot air market.
    * Politicians seeking the power and control that the taxation of hot air will bring.
    * Professional, celebrity, prophets of warming Armageddon orthodoxy.

Last year Girma Orssengo issued a very simple mathematical overlay equation for global mean temperature anomaly based on the historical data of Hadcrut3gl. http://noconsensus.files.wordpress.com/2010/04/image2.jpg
.His prediction for 2011 by the model was 0.375 C and for 2012 it is 0.351 C. The MET Office and their super computer models predicted 0.440C. The actual is 0.340 C. The historical past warm bias due to too much emphasis on CO2 effects continues to be a problem at the Met Office that even super computers cannot correct. It would appear from the comments in the article above that their forecasts still have little credibility and Orssengo model is out predicting the Met Office experts.

Until the Met office is privatized they will do their masters bidding and confirm, regardless of evidence, that co2 causes global warming so that their paymasters can reap the money. Until politicians are faced with violence against themselves it will not change. Unfortunately riot and violence are beginning to show. Let us hope they see sense before it gets out of control.

The Met Office models also predicted that there would only be one flat or cool temperature period in 8 decades. So here we are having a 15 year flat or cool period already at the beginning of their forcast period. There goes the credibilty of the latest model . They are also predicting 4 degree C temperature rise by 2060 or in 50 years . That prediction will also fall by the side of the road .

If anyone wants to see how the Met Office make their forecasts, watch the first video of presentation by the Met Office at a recent AGU conference .

The attached is the official forcast for 2012 by the Met Office for global mean temperature anomaly over the 1961 -1990 global average of 14C. They are predicting an anomaly of 0.48C for 2012. The 2011 was 0 .36 C according to the Met Office news clipping of Jan 4,2012, but the data on their web page shows 0.340 per hadcrut 3gl and o.342 per hadcrut3vgl for 2011. NOAA/NCDC, NASA AND WMO were claiming 2011 to be 0.41C, 0.40 C and 0.41 C RESPECTIVELY

In the video posted earlier, the Met Office predicted 0.460 C.for 2012 All this is very confusing with conflicting numbers on their web page .

IN SUMMARY THEY ARE PREDICTING WARMING OVER 2011 from 0.36C to 0.48 C

Thought you might like to see the mets 2012 annual global temperature forecast

    http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/news/releases/archive/2011/2012-global-temperature-forecast

“2012 is expected to be around 0.48 °C warmer than the long-term (1961-1990) global average of 14.0 °C, with a predicted likely range of between 0.34 °C and 0.62 °C, according to the Met Office annual global temperature forecast. ”

Richard Black is at it again

“Volcanic origin for Little Ice Age”

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-16797075

“The Little Ice Age was caused by the cooling effect of massive volcanic eruptions, and sustained by changes in Arctic ice cover, scientists conclude.”

If you didn’t know already Piers Corbyn of weather action is now forecasting seismic events as a result of solar activity. No idea how it’s going

    And what is Metoffice saying:

“”Today the Mail on Sunday published a story written by David Rose entitled “Forget global warming – it’s Cycle 25 we need to worry about”. This article includes numerous errors in the reporting of published peer reviewed science undertaken by the Met Office Hadley Centre and for Mr. Rose to suggest that the latest global temperatures available show no warming in the last 15 years is entirely misleading.””

Its boring, you have to look on 2 sides, not only a DailyMail-Articel.
