Sheesh! This is like a Normandy invasion – this one by the climate science skeptics. The Americans have landed on one beach, and now the Canadians are following on another.
First it was Prof Fred Singer of the USA, then the evil Heartland Institute, and now it’s veteran investigative journalist Donna Laframboise of Toronto, Canada.
Donna’s hard-hitting, unflattering book exposing the corruption rampant within the IPCC has been translated in German and is now being launched in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg – i.e. the heart of the climate catastrophe regime in Europe.
Note that the skeptics only wish to openly talk about the subject of climate science and to have a little public debate. Why are the warmists so afraid of a little open dialogue? Is their science so weak? Fear is hardly a sign of confidence.
If the German alarmists thought Fred Singer and the Heartland Institute were trouble, wait until they see Donna’s book about the IPCC. Expect a massive smear campaign by the alarmists soon. Hope you’ve got a thick skin, Donna.
So Donna, tell us who is really funding you? What about your ties to Koch Industries and to Big Oil? Surely you’re hiding them. And who is paying you all that money? Are you a climate scientist? Why do you spend so much time hanging out with all those deniers and attending their climate conspiracy conferences? Vee hav vays of finding these things out!
You’ve got a lot of explaining to do, young lady.
And expect friendly e-mails from “investigative” journalists at Die Zeit, or German Public Radio, asking for cordial interviews.

Reaction to this book is not going to be pretty.
Donna Laframboise is a diamond in the not-convinced-by-climate-alarmists-osphere: sharp and brilliant. May her book catch what I think may be a rising wave of doubt in Germany about the wit and wisdom and substance of greens in general and climate scaremongerers in particular.
I had purchased a digital version of Ms. Laframboise’ book, in English of course. It was worth every penny. Now it is available in \German which is very important and I m sure it will convert a lot of german-speaking people.
But how about Vahrenholt and lunings’ Die Kalte Sonne in English? I knw that it should be out some day, but is it anywhere soon? The English speaking world would do with such a book. It will be another devastating blow to the big lie.
I heard Donna speak 6 weeks ago in Calgary, Alberta and it was well worth the 4 hour drive. She’s not a dramatic speaker, but her material is powerful. I bought and read the book and found it to be succinct with good reference backup. I’m not a fan of the book title (“The Delinquent Teenager Who was Mistaken for the World’s Top Climate Expert”) so my expectations were a bit low, but I found the contents to be excellent. Her revelations about the inner workings of the IPPC are priceless.

Thanks. Unfortunately there are lots of things I need to update.
Donna demonstrates investigative journalism at its best. Peeling back the layers in a way that normal people can understand and backing up claims with references.
I wouldn’t be surprised if that alone wasn’t enough to upset the “journalists” at Die Zeit, etc … whose “working” day is usually occupied by recasting press releases as “news”.
It amazes me how the German media has always totally owned the minds of the German public. It has been this way since a small mustashed fellow learned the convincing power of radio and film back in the 1930’s. Nothing has changed.
I hope this goes well for Donna. I think she’ll take some heat over it, but I hope it goes well.
People here in Germany are convinced their public media are honest brokers and objective reporters. They don’t check this hypothesis by venturing into international news themselves, though. I’m the only one.
This gives our left wing / statist journalists all the opportunities they need to delude the public at their will.
There is no word for statist in the German language, as no other position than a statist one is thinkable here. The UN is generally trusted and never criticized in the media. Any UN body’s utterances are taken as Gospel, including the IPCC’s.
There is a strong tendency for Germans to trust authority. That the authorities know what they are doing.
The “higher” the authority, the greater the trust.
I suspect that that is not unique to “Germans”; only more pronounced as there’s a determined social inculcation to that effect. One simply doesn’t question authority. Nor the processes and laws put in place by “authorities”.
Similarly, there is the disturbing tendency of officials and elected folk to think too highly of themselves. That they can act as directed or on a gut feel without thinking too hard about what they are doing and recognizing when they may be acting unlawfully. Don’t ask them if they understand the rule of law.
If you argue, you may are in danger of being classified mentally incompetent. One does not question authority.
The media know how to play that game. Their continued comfort depends on not questioning authority.
Gospel In, Groupthink Out is a GIGO describing how the media handles climate change. The gospel comes from the Guesswork In, Gospel Out GIGO beloved of a few dozen climate workers at the heart of the scaremongering. (I first saw this GIGO used in a comment on WUWT – I do not know who first coined it).
