The European Institute for Climate and Energy (EIKE) has been the target of an Internet attack.
The German climate science skeptic site was shut down earlier this morning by a “bot attack”. EIKE has issued the following statement:

Our website http://www.eike-klima-energie.eu has been shut down since this morning by a very specialized Internet attack. The breach of safety has been identified and works to solve the problems are now proceeding at full speed. However, our budget is very limited and they are burdening our weak financial situation. We are supported only through contributions from members and private donations. A few months ago, NTZ also had a similar problem. Some people just can’t stand hearing other opinions.
I still see it as a sign that the truth is getting out there. While the world could keep warming naturally, if we are indeed entering a cooling phase…and have another few years of no warming, the clamor will grow. if we reach 20 years of no warming, more and more scientists who are keeping silent because of the horrific politics that have sprung up around this issue will begin to go public. My guess is that each year without warming will bring more scientists out into the open, but 20 years will start everyone jumping off the bandwagon. The media will only hang on for so long. While the media is overwhelmingly liberal, they aren’t stupid. Some in the media (Andy Revkin for example) are starting to ask the right questions….
