Okay, we’ve  just heard that the polar ice melt is only half as much as previously believed. That might have something to do with the fact that it may be just a bit colder in Antarctica then we are sometimes led to believe, like right now. See here.

Temperatures there aren’t expected to warm up too much anytime soon. Lows are expected to remain at around a 100 below.

    Look at the picture of the station and estimate the UWI on the local temperature. Keep in mind that the differential between where the staff (11) live and the temperature sensor is 100 degrees C or more. Just a thought experiment.
