Only 8 days to go!
A new paper published today in Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics suggests that the relationship proposed by Henrik Svensmark is supported. Svensmark proposes that changes in the sun’s magnetic field modulate the density of Galactic Cosmic Rays (GCRs) which in turn seed cloud formation on Earth, which changes the albedo/reflectivity to affect Earth’s energy balance and hence global climate. Cosmic rays linked to rapid mid-latitude cloud changes, B. A. Laken , D. R. Kniveton, and M. R. Frogley.
This will make the 3rd International Energy and Climate Conference that much more interesting as Svensmark himself will be one of the distinguished speakers, along with Fred Singer and others.

I’d love to go. But it’s a little far from Western Australia… and will be about 40°C warmer! My piggy bank is being fattened for atrip next year and my customers don’t like “cold turkey”, even shortly after Thanksgiving.
Those could be very slippery steps from Friedrichstraße! Foreigners unaccustomed to walking on ice are advised to be especially cautious.
Look like it’s goingto be a wonderful conference.
And a very important one.

Congrats to the organizers of the conference. Hey, I have a photo with Dr. Svensmark and Wolfgang Muller last May in Chicago here,
