EIKE: IPCC Synthesis Report “In Crass Contradiction To Almost Every Measurement And Trend In Nature”

The Germany-based European Institute for Climate and Energy (EIKE) presents a detailed analysis on the IPCC’s recently published final 40-page Synthesis Report released earlier this month.

EIKE, however, concludes that the IPCC report is fraught with error and distortion. Author Klaus-Eckart Puls writes:

Not only does it contain major contradictions, simplifications and even falsehoods with respect to the earlier comprehensive partial reports, it is a stark contraction to almost every measurement and trend in nature. This is being noticed by event the alarmist tending media [3] : ‘Indeed while the previous climate reports [The 3 comprehensive reports of 2013/14] for the most part provided the science and the contradictions, the new Synthesis report suppresses most of the scientific findings.'”

Puls then provides a list contradictions, falsehoods and distortions stemming from the new Synthesis Report, all of which are refuted by measurements and facts which Puls provides:

1. air temperature
2. sea level rise
3. ocean temperature
4. storms
5. polar ice
6. extreme weather
7. crop yields
8. species extinctions
9. man is responsible

Puls summarizes (reiterating some of what he wrote in his introduction:

In the 40-page Summary for Policymakers [1] published in early November, the IPCC in large part contradicts the depictions and data in its own(!) comprehensive reports (several thousand pages) it released at the end of 2013 and early 2014. The summery-statements stand also in crass contradiction to almost every trend-measurement found in nature over the past 150 years.

For example the online SPIEGEL [3] writes: ‘Final IPCC Report: At the Intergovernmental Panel on climate Change, Alarmism Comes before Accuracy’ … ‘The document is supposed to rationally inform on the science – instead it suppresses the central contradictions.’ … ‘Indeed while the previous climate reports [The 3 comprehensive reports of 2013/14] for the most part provided the science and the contradictions, the new Synthesis Report suppresses most of the scientific findings’.”

Thanks – that suffices!”

Great. Their alarmism is being exposed for what it is.

There are some miracles in nature where huge gigantic structures are kept up seemingly by the most slender of threads. And when one sees such a structure, the tendency is to say “surely it must fall down”.

The IPCC is such a structure. There is nothing at all supporting its non-science. I cannot fathom how it continues to say what it says. All logic, all reason, all the evidence suggests that it shouldn’t be able to stand, but it does.

Indeed, I keep looking and trying to find the one last remaining keystone that must be holding this thing up, because if I could find this one last keystone and remove it, then it must surely fall.

But no, there is no kind of support whatsoever.

    It’s a damn miracle!

      Rockefeller, for one. Soros, another.

The IPCC (and the entire UN) is not a structure but, rather a body in motion. You will recognize the reference to Newton’s first law.

Mike ( Haseler ), think of the catholic church: based on the thinnest lie story full of internal contradictions which everyone who can add 1 + 1 sees immediately as absurd.. Well this organisation has survived for 2000 years, to this day and will beyond.
Mathematically this phenomenon ( the emperor’s new clothes ) is that of coexisting solutions. One being stable and the others being metastable. But even the metastable ones can have a deep stability basin ( think of Flip-Flops in your Computer, a good example. Their metastable state are regarded as simply “stable”).
It is not a coincidence that the climate ideology is a 1 to 1 copy of established religions, where only names have been changed.

      1. DirkH

So you allege that the gospel is “the thinnest lie”. So tell me, carl.weiss: is Jesus of Nazareth an invented figure?

      2. DirkH

Oh, and you say that religion is analogous to metastability of Flipflops.
Well, carl.weiss, forget my question. You have told me everything I need to know about you with that comparison.

With regard to the idea that the human contribution from burning carbon fuels has anything to do with ‘climate’ is not only IMHO the biggest political and intellectual fraud ever – but so says the IPCC itself: http://cleanenergypundit.blogspot.com/2011/10/west-is-facing-new-severe-recession.html.

The ongoing discussion pro and con is becoming akin to the scholastic argument as to how many angels can dance on the head of a needle. Which is, of course, exactly what is intended to achieve a worldwide disorientation away from the actual UN/EU/IMF/IPCC aims of global monetary and energy helotization – and bringing a whole, if not all of science into disrepute. Even the UK Royal Society, inter alia, has become Lysenkoist. viz. http://tinyurl.com/ptgrz34

Besides, an elementary order-of-magnitude calculation – relying on the Zeroth Law of Thermodynamics – shows that, even when allowing the IPCC calculation of man-mad global warming by 2100 reputedly caused by CO2, is so trivial when compared to solar input variability alone, as to be totally irrelevant to ‘climate’:

I’d certainly agree with Puls’ list of “contradictions, falsehoods and distortions” above. My first feeling on listening to the (BBC!) coverage of this nonsense was that suddenly I understood why modern culture gives such prominence to vampires and zombies. Every lie in the list has had the stake of hard facts hammered through its heart – often several times – yet here they all come again, oozing their slime all over the media and deceiving the unwary. Truly, the self-selected “world leaders” who keep promoting this junk must have almost as much contempt for the public as many of us have for them.

[…] I’ll write a piece soon about science fiction and prediction, because that is also a form of crystal-ball-gazing. But to finish  this essay, the IPCC’s Synthesis document is not even a good version of its actual AR5, because the uncertainties that were accepted in the larger document have been ignored in this one, which is just another piece of environmental advocacy, dressed up with selective science. If you’re interested in a critical analysis of the Synthesis, try this. […]

I wish I could speak German to read the detailed analysis by The Germany-based European Institute for Climate and Energy (EIKE).

    It looks very interesting.

    I’ll try Google to translate.
