German Solar Industry, Politicians, Call For Punishment Of Dissenters: “Sabotaging Climate Emergency Measures”

Climate science and energy policy dissenters may need to be prepared to get fined, maybe sent to a mental institution or even imprisoned. German climate crazies are calling for it!

Solar industry lobby wants to punish climate emergency critics for sabotaging emergency measures

By Kalte Sonne
(Translated/edited by P. Gosselin)

German public broadcaster Deutschlandfunk on December 25, 2019:

Climate scientist Johan Rockström thinks the declaration of a climate emergency is justified.

Rockström (Potsdam Institute Director):

The declaration of a “climate emergency” would make it possible to make really big decisions. …such as making things possible that are necessary but have not been considered realistic.“

This reminds in the diction of 24 March 1933, at that time the law was officially called: “Law to remedy the distress of the people and the Reich” and it served to abolish the Republic. Isn’t anyone suspicious?

What fits well here is an action of the solar industry lobby, which has made good business from the alleged climate catastrophe. Whoever criticizes the climate alarmism professionally is considered a troublemaker. So it fits in well with the picture that the Solarenergie Förderverein Deutschland e.V. (Solar Energy Association of Germany) is calling for the punishment of critics on its website. The address of the site is: http://sfv.de/artikel/verharmlosung_der_klimakrise_eine_straftat.htm. Here we read:

Wolf von Fabeck calls for punishment for those who trivialize the climate catastrophe:

Trivializing the climate catastrophe endangers the survival of mankind – do we have to accept this?

Why the trivializers cannot hide behind the fundamental right of freedom of expression

They even link to a PIK-alarm paper:

At the suggestion of the Fridays For Future demonstrators, Constance is now the first German city to declare a ‘climate emergency’ – a rather symbolic act – but one that shows what is needed. Mayor Burchardt explained that from now on all decisions to be taken by the city council must be assessed in terms of climate protection. At the same time, he called on the Federal Government to improve the legal framework for climate protection measures.

It is essential to ward off the danger decisively and to the best of our knowledge and belief, not only in Constance, but everywhere in Germany (everyone should first of all put their own house in order), and finally worldwide. In the case of climate catastrophe, the best knowledge is provided by the natural sciences, and not by those who trivialize it. What the trivializers do can be described as sabotage, and sabotage of emergency measures should be punished.”

[…]

A strong democracy must not accept this development. What is missing here is the legal threat of punishment within the Criminal Code – as already mentioned in the summary:

‘Anyone who plays down or denies the climate catastrophe in a way that is likely to disrupt, disparage or completely prevent the defense of the climate catastrophe under the Paris Climate Convention and its follow-up agreements will be punished with a fine of up to 300 days wages. In case of recurrence, the penalty is imprisonment.’

Such a threat of punishment in no way undermines the fundamental right to freedom of opinion. Also the freedom of opinion has, as already mentioned in the introduction, legal limits (Article 5, Paragraph 2, first half sentence German Law). For example, according to Paragraphs 185 to 187 of the German Criminal Code, insult, libel and slander are also sanctioned, because otherwise peaceful coexistence is not possible.”

Emergency laws, sabotage, punishment. This seemingly undemocratic argumentation is not entirely new in Germany. The last time it was heard was 80 years ago.

Note: The German Solar Energy Lobby also remarks:

Note: It is not the misled ones who should be punished, but the disinformers, the instigators, the authors and distributors of the fake news.”

“A strong democracy must not accept this development.”

Might as well hire a Grand Inquisitor.

Again, to reiterate, you cannot fix stupid.

Talking their book, imposing their will. Pure evil.

Only a clueless kakistocrat would talk so foolishly.

A strong democracy invites healthy dissent, not punish someone who actually has enough sense to wonder what in God’s name is going on.

A sensible solution is to tax the light and heat from the sun.

    Which is pure nonsense.

Well Mr. Gosselin, I live too far away to come visit you in jail.
However, I have heard that large black music equipment cases can be used to make a get-away. Just saying …

“A strong democracy must not accept this development.”

Following this line of thinking (and I’m using the term very loosely) the 3rd Reich was the strongest democracy ever, since it didn’t tolerate any kind of dissidence.

What the _hell_ is wrong with the Germans? Are they genetically susceptible to totalitarianism or something?

I am afraid that the Germans will believe anything they are told. History proves this.

A little off-piste but the Germans are so controllable that you can make them stand at Red traffic lights before they cross the road even when the road is totally clear of traffic. It amazes me to see it.

Try to see it this way: Germany is a very young country, having been founded in 1871, at a time when authoritarianism was culturally more formative than democracy and people were happy to follow their Führer (the Kaiser, i.e. the emperor) into a terrible war (World War I.).

After the war, during the period of the so-called Weimar Republic, parties with totalitarian agendas were dominant: communists, socialists and Marxist social democrats, also the Nazis, who were quite popular in giving German authoritarianism a totalitarian shape from 1933-45.

Only a few years after the collapse of the Third Reich, the sons of those Germans who preferred totalitarian-minded parties during the Weimar Republic took to the streets of Berlin, Frankfurt etc to demand the establishment of totalitarian communism and would pursue “den langen Marsch durch die Institutionen” (the long march through (social and state) institutions), becoming deeply entrenched in the deep state which they now dominate. They define what is politically correct and culturally accepted in contemporary Germany.

Just how weak the tradition of freedom and democracy is in Germany can be judged from the unopposed disappearance of conservatism and (non-Marxist) social democracy in only a few years and the transformation of their parties (CDU and SPD) into branches of the green regressive left.

Not a very authoritative history lesson there .

Bismarck noted in 1899 just as he was ousted, that the British would start a 7-year war, and why. That is known today as WWI. WWII was a continuation of WWI, caused essentially by the Versailles Treaty after WWI. The Bank of International Settlements, founded by Bank of England chief Montague Norman, and Hjalmar Schacht , to administer these impossible WWI debt payments, later Hitler’s finance minister, should raise an eyebrow or two?

Fast forward to today: the bank bailouts of 2008, have left the “peoples” parties in total disarray – impossible to form a Government without either a Green of AfD in coalition. The danger again is Weimarization, radical polarization. Look at the unbelievable polarization in the US or the Brexit saga. A transatlantic phenomenon. And I didn’t even mention Macron’s France.

Now along comes the EU of von der Leyen, Mark Carney, with GND and unlimited green credit , an insane attempt to bailout their imploding financial system. Bloomberg, Steyer, Sanders are all in this game.

Germany is being put through a Morgenthau Plan, de-industrialization is immanent unless reversed. And after all that was the intent of WWI.

    Rockström (Potsdam Institute Director):
The declaration of a “climate emergency” would make it possible to make really big decisions. …such as making things possible that are necessary but have not been considered realistic.“
Considering the fact that Rockström hails from Greta’s homeland, Sweden, it would be better to look at the big picture.

Take Bank-of-England governor Mark Carney, soon to be UN Climate Rep. for Guterres, and his declaration of a global Green Finance Initiative, embracing the Green New Deal, and a currency to enforce strict green investment. That currency, the Synthetic Hegemonic Currency, SHC, to be administered by technocrats, no government whatsoever. This shows UN Commissioner von der Leyen’s GND leanings in their true light “such as making things possible that are necessary but have not been considered realistic”.
So the logical next step for the Solar bail-out wannabees is the either the EU Court or the UN Courts.

Just wondering if the EU/UN will declare the Australian bush fires a Reichstagsbrand? After all the Fukoshima tsunami could have reached the Isar KKI nuclear plant in 2011!

    1. bonbon

Note “Synthetic Hegemonic Currency”, an imperial design if there ever was one. Was the Euro simply a dry-run?
