So what’s going on?
NASA and other government agencies keep telling us that the globe is warming and ice becoming more rare, yet when look out the window, things often appear to be going the opposite direction.
Rare cold, snow grip Greece
For example, the Greek Reporter here informed how a “rare spring snow” blanketed large parts of northern Greece. It reported: “Of course, Northern Greece is used to low temperatures and snow, but even for their standards, such an intense snowfall in April is rare.”
Moreover, the widely read Electroverse weather site here reported how southeast Europe had seen its “coldest April morning in a decade”, potentially causing widespread crop damage.
So why are such events happening when they aren’t supposed to be?
Altering: from cooling to warming
Today we look at the NASA data from two stations in Greece: Makedonia and Larissa, shown below:
These two stations have data going back to 1892 and 1899 respectively.
As we know NASA has been busy over the last years adjusting and homogenizing data from stations around the world, again and again. Data which once stood for years, suddenly got altered – in many cases very substantially. Greece here is another example.
What follows are side-by-side plots of the two stations: V4 unadjusted and V4 adjusted:
The two GHCN V4 unadjusted mean annual temperature data plots of the respective stations clearly show a cooling trend.
So no wonder we are seeing “rare” snow and cold in April.
NASA’s claimed warming is statistically fabricated
But NASA altered the data for the two Greek stations and named the two new data sets “V4 adjusted”. Clearly the adjustments magically produce the warming they like to scream about.
The warming didn’t occur because the air warmed up, but rather because NASA changed the data. The warming is a fake.
Though lots of people, media and politicians are listening and believing it, the weather isn’t. Snow and cold continue to make their appearance, Greece and other places are showing.
Government funded science is always agenda driven. The agenda: Keep the money coming.
This blatant fraud is infuriating. How do they get away with it? Where is the Trump administration? Why has no one at NASA been fired? This has been going on for years. The president needs to shine a light on this and take strong action.
The problem is that the President is not an “expert.” He can ignore the experts because you can always find an expert to say anything you want, but he cannot pretend to be one because that would remove all credibility.
Because it keeps the money coming in! The ethanol mandates, keep the corn farmers happy. The subsidies keep the wind & solar farmers happy, the idea of having to replace lots of cars with EVs keeps Ford, GM & Tesla happy.
Trump being as thick as two short planks helps too.
The raw data seems to show a falling trend to 1977, and then a steep rise. On that basis, Greece seems to be currently warming.
The “adjusted” data goes up to 1977. There seems to be a bit of alteration from 1977 to 1987, and then a little variation up to 1992. From then on, it matches the raw data.
So why did pre-1992 data need any “adjusting” at all, and why so much for the period before 1977?
Because it’s meant to show continuous warming due to CO2, a warmer period earlier in the 20th century demonstrates that CO2 does not drive temperature.
Perhaps I should phrase my questions as “What is the official reason (excuse?) given for adjusting the earlier data?”
It snowed here early in the week with temps at night in the mid 20s.
The winter was milder than most, however, it seems to hang on into April.
Old Man Winter is gone for now.

Everyone keeps forgetting to mention that due to the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan that the earth got shifted off its axis by a degree. Some will scoff and say it’s only a degree but a single degree on a planetary scale is a big deal. Here in Northern California we should be going into our warmer days but it’s been really cold instead. And another thing people keep forgetting is that before some catastrophic event that hit Earth the planet was warm and high in CO2. Afterwards the temperature plummeted causing an Ice age. And believe it or not we are still in that Ice age. It has caused higher oxygen levels, animals got smaller compared to what the were before including insects. Also during this time Forrest fires did massive damage with nobody there to put them out and throwing more pollution into the air then we have now. We had more active volcanos that spewed toxic gasses into the air. So in conclusion the weather will always change, the Earth will get hot and cold on it’s own and man is yet nothing but a flea on the back of a dog. Yes we will bother the dog occasionally but in the end we don’t really do much. Now don’t get me wrong, I do worry about some problems man has created. I worry about the trash we put in our oceans, over fishing, killing creatures for fun and game. Stupid tree huggers that can’t realize that even if you cut down an old tree someday a new one will take it’s place and be bigger then that one. And that over time all things change.

Maye it’s time to cut NASA’s funding and dissolve them to help pay off the ~20T$$$ federal debt.

I’m no scientist, but I would like to see scientists perform a peer reviewed study on whether temperature adjustments are biased and, if so, the degree of bias. The premise is that the adjustments should be neutral over a very large number of samples. About 50% of the samples should show more global warming and 50% should show less global warming. The facts of the adjustments in this article show more global warming by cooling the past. I can’t recall any article calling out a situation in which the adjustments resulted in warming of the far past and cooling of the near past.
