Currently there’s a “growing crisis in the e-car market” and the production of the Explorer and Capri electric models at the Cologne, Germany plant “have come to a standstill for a total of three weeks.” The reduced work hours are expected to continue until Christmas – all in response to “rapidly deteriorating market conditions for electric vehicles”, says a Ford spokeswoman.

Failed Green Economy

Sales of electric cars and industrial production in general across Germany have been taking a huge hit due in large part to failed green policies from inept governments over the past 2 decades, which have driven energy prices up and sent consumer confidence plummeting.

Blackout News cites an internal letter from the company that underscores “the explosive nature of the situation” that is “forcing Ford to significantly reduce its weekly production capacity.”

According to the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, “market demand has fallen”, forcing Ford Germany to adjust its production accordingly.

Blackout News describes a bleak future of “economic uncertainty, rising interest rates and a hesitant customer base. At the same time, the German government is forcing car manufacturers to produce more electric cars to meet climate targets, yet most consumers are refusing to buy them.

As governments are of a ideological nature these days, they forgot that the client is still king. Once the client is no king, than back to the USSR.
