Greenland Petermann Glacier Has Grown 30 Kilometers Since 2012!

Klima e Scienza reports on how the Greenland PETERMANN GLACIER  has GROWN BY MORE THAN 30 KILOMETRES SINCE 2012, back when the MEDIA hysterically announced the glacier’s imminent disappearance.

In 2012:

In 2024:

The media doesn’t talk about this anymore. Klima e Scienza credits the Association des Climato-Realistes.

The reality defies the alarmist claims made by scientists, media and policymakers.

Arctic sea ice extent has plateaued and not shrunk over the past 15 years, let alone disappeared in the summertime.

that Greenland’s Petermann Glacier has grown by more than 30 kilometers since 2012 is incorrect. The glacier is in fact losing mass overall and has been generally retreating and thinning, with its flow accelerating due to warm ocean water melting its underside.

The confusion stems from a specific area near the glacier’s terminus (end) that has shown some re-advance in satellite images since 2012. This is due to two large calving events in 2010 and 2012 which caused major chunks of ice to break off, drastically shortening the ice shelf. Since then, the continuous flow of ice from the interior (driven by gravity) has partially refilled this specific channel, but it has not returned to its pre-2010 extent, nor does it indicate overall growth of the glacier.

Richard you are guilty of polishing a turd …. if the Petermann glacier is shrinking it is due to Glo-Bull warming and if it is growing it also is due to Glo-Bull warming.
You obsessive-compulsive alarmists are too funny!!
Also Richard you said “warm ocean water” …. I believe Al Gore said the oceans were boiling!

If it gets any longer there will be another instance of “melting faster than previously thought” and writing of an “ice island” event. I’m not aware of who coined that term for a floating block of ice that historically has been called an iceberg.
