Alan Dershowitz Sees Civil Liberties Under Attack With Media-Political Mobbing Of Trump

Off-topic today. (Don’t worry, the climate isn’t going anywhere.)

Like many of us, I’m quite surprised by the absurd calls for impeachment of a President who has done nothing wrong. Just because he does things people don’t agree with and is sand in the Establishment machinery, this in no way constitutes grounds for impeachment. It’s a grand charade.

Will backfire on media-political mob

Don’t get discouraged by all the spectacular theatrics, as this can turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Newton’s Laws also often apply in politics: for every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction. There’s a good chance this is all going to backfire, and possibly even on a nuclear scale. People don’t appreciate bureaucrats who abuse the justice system to go unfairly go after someone.

Alan Dershowitz: “like Stalinist Russia”

As the blatant non-objectivity and hatred becomes ever glaring, people are taking notice and seeing this for what it really is: a political lynching. One example is Harvard law Professor Alan Dershowitz, a left-wing Democrat and supporter of Hillary Clinton no less.

“What’s the crime?”

In an interview at FOX News, Dershowitz, one of the country’s top civil liberties lawyers, totally blasted the media-political mugging of President Trump, comparing it to “Stalinist Russia”, and demands to know: “What’s the crime?”

Political charade

The Harvard professor noted: “Nobody can point me to a statute that could be violated.” Moreover Dershowitz sees Trump possibly getting benefit from it all, and expresses full confidence in Mueller.

In fact, Dershowitz says the worst case scenario is Flynn getting indicted, refering to him as a low-level former aid. Dershowitz thinks in the end it’ll end up helping Trump. This is why Trump supporters, barring any surprises, can rest easy and relish at the prospect of the coming public backlash.

And even if Trump had coordinated with the Russians in the Wikileaks dump, that too would not be a crime, says Dershowitz. In fact the real issue is Clinton wrongdoings exposed by the Wikileaks.

German ARD public television: the world’s most Trump-hating

Interestingly in Germany, almost everyone believes Trump commited crimes, even though they don’t know what they are talking about. This is so because most Germans get their news filtered by the publicly funded media outlets, like ARD television. A recent report on mass negative reporting of Trump found that Germany’s flagship ARD public television took the top spot worldwide in negativity, with 98% of its reports being negative, RT here writes. (PS: RT is just the messenger here).

Most Germans I meet say they simply cannot understand how Americans could have elected Trump. And as long as they continue relying on outlets like ARD for information, they surely never will.

Yes the german hatred of Trump is visceral. The story about Kellyanne Conway purportedly disowning Trump off-camera was reported on the front page of Die Welt the very next day simply as if it were true. Like everything else ‘reported’ by the Washington Joke and the NYT the german press simply regurgitates the appalling lies and people believe it all. Let’s be frank, most people are stupid and will not question anything. They are too busy stuck to their IPhones or Facebook. This is part of the reason the press and the deep state succeed even when it is patently obvious to anyone with half a brain the accusations against Trump are ludicrous and easy to disprove. On the other hand the machinations of the Clintons and their pay to play system is well documented. This includes the dubious sale of Uraniam One to Rosatom and the backenders paid to Bill Clinton (payments for speeches) by the Russians while the sale was going through and while Hillary was at the State Department and responsible for allowing it all to happen. Blatant corruption that goes unpunished.

Other people have a different opinion of how this case will end:

People all over the world think that trump is a laughing stock:

No one here is worried about Trump telling secrets to the russians? About Flynn selling out to turkish interests? about insane arms deals with the saudis? Oh well, let us see…

Sod, This absurdity has been going on since last fall with ZERO evidence of Trump breaking any laws over the Russia interference kerpuffle.

Leftists are going to get smashed on this since the American voters have long tired of the bullcrap.

Diane Feinstein, the Democrat minority leader, herself says Trump is NOT under investigation:

Senators Grassley and Feinstein Confirm Trump Not Part of Russia FBI Investigation…

“The firing of FBI Director James Comey has sent the professional political left into blinding fits of ridiculously over-the-top outrage.

The protestations are so ridiculous that a reasonable person has to ask if Comey wasn’t the center of a much larger political value for their ideological needs.

Made all the more clear when you consider that Comey stunningly admitted to congress (March 20th) he was actively working with the Obama White House, Susan Rice (Nat. Sec. Adviser), James Clapper (ODNI) and Sally Yates (Asst. AG – DOJ), all political operatives, while intentionally not allowing intelligence investigation oversight from congress.”

Sod, you are being given a bunch of media created bullrap.

Saudi Arabia has a very positive view of President Trump as he has decorated by the nations HIGHEST Civilian honor:

Great Honor – King Salman Bestows Collar of Abdulaziz Al Saud To President Donald Trump

“More than a dozen horses flanked the presidential limousine on Saturday as President Donald J Trump was driven to the Royal Court in Riyadh, where he received Saudi Arabia’s highest civilian honor from King Salman.”

      1. sod

“Saudi Arabia has a very positive view of President Trump as he has decorated by the nations HIGHEST Civilian honor:”

yes. Putin also loves him, and so does Erdogan. so the worst regimes like him. Great!

Let us sell weapons to Saudi Arabia, the country that was the home of the majority of the 9/11 terrorists. Let them bomb Yemen with american weapons and simply watch what comes out of it. Great idea!

        1. tom0mason

What would you have Trump do?
Kiss the Saudi ring like Obama did, then run-off and appease the Iranian government, and all the while secretly fund and train ISIS.

Sod, A far leftist lawyer, who voted for Hillary, says Media lynching is going to blow up the miserable liberals faces:

Alan Dershowitz Starts Warning Democrats About “Nothingburger”

“Darnit, shuddup Dersh, you’re giving away the play. Lefty Alan Dershowitz rightly points out the appointment of a “special counsel” is tantamount to putting cheese on a nothingburger. There is no legal risk to President Trump within any of the moonbat declarations currently gripped like political life-preservers by his opposition.

However, Dershowitz also recognizes the danger to his like-minded colleagues in political office. The only criminal acts factually evidenced so far are the intelligence leaks. Robert Mueller has all the power he needs to investigate the illegal leaking of classified information.

This entire ‘muh Russia’ fiasco could have, and in my estimation ‘will have‘, the absolute opposite result the loony left is looking for.”

      1. Graeme No.3

It may well have been a mistake by the Left to get a Special Council appointed, presumably in order to cover up the story about a murdered Democrat who was leaking to Wikileaks (what the Democrats are blaming on Russia).

Once he finds that none of the 5 in the meeting with the Russian Ambassador think that any secrets were disclosed by Trump, and then that the ‘secrets’ had been published 2 months before by the media (bomb in laptop) then he may well turn his attention to the origin of the story. If the Democrats name a source then all others will cease any contact, and if they don’t then they will have to put up with accusations that they invented the story. From there it will be all downhill for them.

“Sod, A far leftist lawyer, who voted for Hillary, says Media lynching is going to blow up the miserable liberals faces:”

He is not far left, just look at his opinions about Israel. He has made a lot of controversial claims about Trump and his actions and i am pretty sure the left will not see him as one of them (neither Otto Schily, by the way).

        1. AndyG55

Poor sob-sob, he can see that Trump is trying to drain the fetid ooze of the far-left agenda.

You need that fetid far-left ooze to exist.. don’t you sob-sob.

          1. SebastianH

By presenting a very incompetent public image of himself through the media (the ones he still supports), Twitter and public speeches where he just praises himself over and over?

The puppet masters behind him might be trying to bring their agenda forward, but Trump is just enjoying the ride and his privileges of being president of the USA.

His supporters call critics snowflowers, while he is the biggest “snowflower” in existence. And that’s not just name calling, that is actually dangerous. I guess he just doesn’t read or listen to his critics and is still on full ignore mode … let’s hope it stays that way, or this guy will start a war over some Twitter discussion.

In some comment above it was mentioned that Germans only see the negative parts about Trump reporting. Can you link to some examples of US news stories where Trump is presented in a positive way that are not on Fox News, Breitbart or Infowars?

          2. AndyG55

Seb, can you point to any other news outlet apart from Fox or Breitbart that is NOT manically left..

Seems you are just another ultra gullible, ultra leftist sucked in by the far-left media.

But we have known that for a long time, with your irrational, arrogant, leftist bent and your unsupportable religious infatuation, typical far-left loonie.

          3. AndyG55

“By presenting a very incompetent public image of himself”

Coming from you, that is hilarious. !!

You are so incompetent and gullible that you are easily sucked in by the mostly far left US media.

Fox, Breitbart, Infowars.. take an even handed approach.

WaPo, CNN etc… far left trash-talk..

just for people like you, seb.

And why would ANY sane person listen to the ultra-far-left critics, except as a rancid comedy act.. like you.

        2. sunsettommy

He is a long running liberal who voted for a leftist hack.He voted for Obama,Kerry,Gore,Clinton,Dukakis all the way back to the 1980’s. 100% liberal the entire time.

Here is a sampling of what Alan is:

“Look as a liberal Democrat, I have a problem. As all liberal Democrats do. We support the Obama administration on who he is going to put on the Supreme Court, on healthcare, on immigration, on a range of other issues. But we fundamentally disagree with him on his approach to foreign policy, particularly in regard to the Middle East.

You know, if you are a staunch Republican supporter of Israel, you have no problem. If you are a staunch Democrat who doesn’t care about Israel, you have no problem. But if you are a liberal Democrat who cares deeply about Israel, the Middle East, world peace, American exceptionalism, America’s role in the world, you have a problem.”

He clearly labels himself as a LIBERAL Democrat, who is comfortable voting for Hillary, who is clearly a leftist democrat.

You are very ignorant about him.

          1. sod

you do nowt become a left wind liberal by labeling yourself that way while having contrarian political views in several fields.

I see Sod, has once again failed to make a counterpoint,to what I wrote about Professor Dershowitz.

Here is what Alan, himself said about himself:

“Look as a liberal Democrat, I have a problem. As all liberal Democrats do.”

            You that stupid,Sod?

          4. tom0mason

no you had it correct the first time … “you do nowt become a left wind liberal”.
I agree lefties, especially the greenie types, have NOWT except bullsh*t that’s all p*ss and wind.

          Sod and Sebastian,

nice to know you haven’t disputed what Alan said at all:

“The Harvard professor noted: “Nobody can point me to a statute that could be violated.” Moreover Dershowitz sees Trump possibly getting benefit from it all, and expresses full confidence in Mueller.”

Where is the crime fellas, the one nobody seem to know. This silliness has been going on since last year. You would think that by now the massive trump hating media would have found it.

Continue to make a fool of yourself on this one.

Sod, You are so easily conned by fake news from the Washington Post:

Washington Post Creates Fake News Timed-Release Story Intended to Capture Evening News Lede…

“Always remember the basic rule that has been proven accurate 100% of the time:

When the CIA wants to leak a damaging story they coordinate with the Washington Post and ABC. (and vice-versa).
When the State Dept. or FBI/DOJ wants to leak a damaging story they coordinate with CNN and the New York Times. (and vice-versa)

This consistent pattern has NEVER been broken.

Tonight using “unnamed” and the most vague descriptions of “anonymous sources” The Washington Post creates a fake news story specifically timed to release at the 5pm hour to hit President Donald Trump.”

      and the list:

“First indication is the timing of the Washington Post news release (5:02pm EDT).

Second indication coordination with NYT for immediate follow (6:26pm EDT)

Third indication – Same exact pattern as Flynn intelligence leaks. Identical timing.

Fourth indication – Same use of entirely anonymous sources: “former American government official” ie. an Obama official.

Only 3 U.S. Officials actually in the room with first-hand information: National Security Advisor HR McMaster, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Senior Adviser for policy, Dina Powell.

Publication motive/intent – The Washington Post never contacted anyone in the White House for questions, nor did they ask McMaster, Tillerson or Powell for comment before publication. All three call the Post article – fake News.

      1. sod

“This consistent pattern has NEVER been broken.”

this “pattern” is a conspiracy theory, do you know that?!?

McMaster did not contradict the story. he was putting out a classical non-denial.

        1. sunsettommy

Wow Sod, nice to know that you have no counterpoint.

All THREE are on record in calling it fake news. They were specific too. It is right there in the link I posted.

Stop trying to lie on this.

      2. tom0mason

But of course those same news agencies (ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox) will not cover
the class action lawsuit against the Democratic National Committee and former chair Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Florida) filed in June 2016 alleges that the party showed bias toward Hillary Clinton over Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) during the 2016 primary.

One rule for the media insiders friends, different rules for all those not liked by news manipulators.

If you type Trump in German Google, you see such negative reporting, you just don’t believe it.

I read right, center and left American media, so I know there is a big difference. I also thought: What unlawful things did he?

Germans can easyly be deceived – for hundreds of Years now…

the interesting number in that graph is FOX news.

the most simple explanation of course is: Trump is getting negative press because he is doing stupid stuff.

But a conspiracy theory is much better, of course!

No, Only fox is anywhere near even handed..

sod, you have a pathological way of be-clowning yourself that needs looking after.

Conspiracy theory? The graph is from a Harvard scholarly article.

        1. sod

“Conspiracy theory? The graph is from a Harvard scholarly article.”

the graph is fine. we differ on the interpretation.

There are two possible reasons for the negative press about Trump:

          1. he is doing a lot of negative things.

          2. The press is against him.

I look at the numbers at FOX news and i think either they are pretty hardcore left wing or there is a problem with Trumps message being negative.

Washington DC lives in it’s own fabricated reality. What this is all about is the fact that Trump is an outsider and as far as the political elite of both parties, their press, and their supporting deep state are concerned he is illegitimate because he threatens their cozy self serving and enriching set up. All one has to do to confirm this is watch the video of the inauguration speech. They care not that Trump was constitutionally elected POTUS because their power/influence and thus ability to enrich themselves is threatened by Trump. Sound familiar? Kind of like the same situation for alarmist scientists?

The tactics of the opposition are time honored and have worked in the past. They are throwing out every bit of crap they can in order to eliminate or at least mitigate the effectiveness of the Trump administration. At best they hope to get him out of the WH but if they can’t accomplish that they are at least making Team Trump spend time and effort cleaning up the messes they are throwing at him thus diverting his energy and his efforts to implement his agenda.

How this will end, I don’t know. But the fact is the opposition is all in and if they fail then Dershowitz is right about the consequences. But the simple fact is the progressives have nothing to lose! Over the course of the Obama administration they have lost the ability to win elections at all levels. The democrat party has not been so weak since the 1920’s and that goes for all levels of elected government officials. Despite the BS one reads, their prospects for 2018 are not good and in fact the Republicans have a chance to gain a super-majority in the Senate. And as for the Republican “never Trump” establishment? Their ranks are dinosaurs with extinction on the horizon as their ranks have failed to be rejuvenated with new blood. And then there are the courts. Always before the progressives have been able to rely on the SCOTUS to implement objectives they have not been able to pass through legislation but Trump could possibly end up appointing three justices if he gets a second term there by changing the ideological balance of the court for a generation. Nope! The progressives have nothing to lose. The reality is their backed into a corner and fighting remain relevant and thus the pure venom we see oozing out of our TVs and the pages of political commentary we see.

Now that Mueller has signed on as Special Counsel, Liberals are suddenly backtracking:

Democrats start to worry they are out on a limb with Russia conspiracy theories, and Mueller has a saw

“The appointment of Robert Mueller as special counsel to investigate the wild charges of Russian interference in the 2016 election has turned the tables on the conspiracy theorists. Some are even acknowledging the total lack of evidence behind the media-induced frenzy that grips the Beltway and left-wing crazies, but not most normal Americans. MSNBC discovered the hard way that the mania gripping Rachel Maddow & Co. at its anchor desks was not shared by the people it interviewed on the street in North Carolina when it took “the pulse of the people.”

Perhaps remembering what happened to the GOP in the wake of the failed Clinton impeachment trial, Nancy Pelosi urged her House members to squelch their impulse to impeach. Even rabid Trump-hater Adam Schiff warned the troops:”
    Even Pelosi, is saying this:

“”I hope some would curb their enthusiasm until we have all of the facts and have confidence that when the American people understand what is there, whether it’s grounds for impeachment or grounds for disappointment, then they’ll know,” Pelosi told reporters.”

They are backtracking because they know deep down Mueller will not find what the Trump hating Media failed to find after 8 months of screaming with nothing.

    From the Daily Caller,

Why There Won’t Be Any Evidence Of Russian ‘Collusion,’ Explained In Just Two Paragraphs

“The narrative that President Donald Trump has questionable ties to Russia persists, even though evidence of collusion has yet to come to light and probably won’t.

Conservative blogger Jim Geraghty, a contributor for National Review and noted #nevertrumper, explained the complete lack of evidence in just two very straightforward paragraphs.”
It is becoming very clear that many liberals have become politically insane.

    1. sod

“Conservative blogger Jim Geraghty, a contributor for National Review and noted #nevertrumper, explained the complete lack of evidence in just two very straightforward paragraphs.””

Your “conservative blogger” might be missing an important part: The FBI is an extremely conservative organisation.

any one with a working brain is not surprised by them finding plenty of (utterly useless) reasons to investigate Hillary but finding no reason to seriously investigate Trump and the russian connection.

Comey (and i do not think that he is a great person) must be credited for one thing: he is trying to be impartial. The problem is, that he is not standing anywhere near the middle, he is a deeply conservative person and his bias is clearly visible in his decisions.

      1. RAH

Comey acted as the police, prosecutors office, and judge when he let Hillary off the hook. The guy said Hillary would not be charged for having classified material on her illegal bathroom server because she didn’t know it was illegal and didn’t intend any harm!

        1. Not knowing the law is not a defense.
        2. Intent in this case has nothing to do with guilt.
        3. The function of the FBI is the investigate and compile the evidence. The determination to prosecute would be made by a Grand Jury and the AG and not the FBI. The director of the FBI does not determine guilt. That is the job of a Judge and or Jury.

        Comey “impartial”? What a joke!

        1. yonason (from my cell phone)

Like claims of Comey’s “impartiality,” the mindless drivel posted by sob and his fellow travelers is a constant reminder that leftism is a mental disease.

Comey “impartial?” It is to laugh!

Sod, just can’t wait to put his foot in his mouth.

Why the FBI Let Hillary Clinton Off the Hook

        July 5,2016

“In a highly unusual public statement Tuesday morning, FBI director James Comey said Hillary Clinton and her aides may have violated the law in using a private email server when she was Secretary of State, but that their actions didn’t warrant criminal charges. In its year-long investigation of how government secrets got onto the server, Comey said, the FBI found “evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information,” but he said, “we are expressing to [the] Justice [department] our view that no charges are appropriate in this case.”

Only to REOPEN the case just before the election:

Comey notified Congress of email probe despite DOJ concerns

“Comey decided to disregard their concerns and sent the letter Friday anyway, shaking the presidential race 11 days before the election and nearly four months after the FBI chief said he wouldn’t recommend criminal charges over the Democratic nominee’s use of the server.”

In July 2016, Comey says she broke some laws, but will not recommend prosecution, yet late October breaks his own words.

Here is his absurd justification for screwing over Hillary, whom he already let off the hook, despite the know violations.

“In a letter to eight congressional committee chairmen Friday, Comey said investigators are examining newly discovered emails that “appear to be pertinent” to the email probe.

“In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear pertinent to the investigation,” Comey wrote the chairmen. “I am writing to inform you that the investigative team briefed me on this yesterday, and I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation.”

        Comey, deserved to be FIRED!

There’s no case against Trump. This is a cold coup probably launched because Trump wants deals with Russia, not war and confrontation that the Deep State wants.

But Trump is not my friend… I didn’t vote for anyone… but he is a first class Predator.. and so, I really don’t care if he’s thrown to the dogs. Doing so is an affront to the US Constitution. It’s nullifying the last Election. But how can I rally around a vicious billionaire oligarch… this is all entertainment and spectator sport from me and probably many others too.

Within this link below, shows how sloppy Democrats were under Obama on DAILY intelligence reports, while Counsel Mueller was given WIDE latitude on all of it,which means the Liberals are about be exposed big time.

Brilliant – Justice Department Appoints Robert Mueller To Investigate 2016 Russian Election Interference…

“This opens up an independent investigative path of: ♦The DNC leaking (Seth Rich), and ♦The impetus of the “Russian Dossier“, and ♦The Obama White House “surveillance and leaking” (Susan Rice/Evelyn Farkas), all the way to ♦John Podesta, the Hillary Clinton campaign, and the Obama White House.”

Not long ago, then FBI Director Comey:

“Remember, FBI Director James Comey specifically stated (March 20th) that he intentionally withheld notification of congress for the FBI counterintelligence operation that began in July 2016 and was premised on the ‘vast russian conspiracy theory‘”.

Liberals smells deep here as they are the ones who made it possible for the Russians to know what President Obama was being told on a daily basis on Intelligence briefing,

“The important aspect two fold: #1) the PDB is electronic viewable by POTUS Obama on his iPad; and #2) how many people were getting the PDB information 30+, against the backdrop of Rice’s admitted unmasking of names within the raw intelligence for PDB user comprehension.

There you can see that “more than 30 recipients” would be privy to the unmasked information within the PDB as an outcome of the protocols instituted by the White House and President Obama’s National Security Advising team.

From Rice’s MSNBC interview the departments of “State (John Kerry et al) and Defense (Ash Carter et al)”, along with CIA (Director John Brennan), NSA (Director Mike Rogers) and ODNI James Clapper, all participated.

As such, and as outlined by the Washington Post on distribution, deputies within Defense and State, along with “other national security departments” would have access to the unmasked PDB information.

Here’s where you realize within those “more than 30 recipients” you find people like Secretary Hillary Clinton, Undersecretary Patrick Kennedy and various high level officials in the Office of the Secretary and its Executive Secretariat (S/ES) past and present. This is also where the Deputy Secretaries of Defense like Dr. Evelyn Farkas come into play. All of these officials would be accessing, or at least have access to, the President’s Daily Brief, and the unmasked intelligence within it.

When you recognize how widely the Obama administration disseminated the PDB you begin to realize how easy it was for any foreign entity, including the Russians, to have access to the EXACT SAME daily intelligence brief as President Obama and his National Security Adviser Susan Rice.

An additional character within this wide-dissemination construct would be John Podesta. Remember, after Hillary Clinton stepped down from Secretary of State, she inserted, with Obama’s approval, John Podesta within the White House Senior Advisory staff to keep a communications line open with direct information. (As pictured below) Podesta remained in that position throughout 2013, 2014 and into 2015.

Having a known entity like John Podesta with access to the PDB and the unmasked intelligence therein, puts the appropriate highlight on the risk carried by Russian hacking into Podesta’s electronic communications, stored data and email correspondence.

Is it any surprise Russian, or any foreign intelligence group, would then be making attempts to enter the unsecured private email accounts of Secretary Hillary Clinton and her top level staff?

And John Podesta is only one of numerous people who would have access to this PDB information. All of which would potentially be at risk of being read daily by enterprising hackers, or various spies, who would glean a gobsmacking level of information by actually reading the same unmasked intelligence as the President of the United States.

Oh, the angles are almost limitless.”

Democrats Wanted Comey Fired — Until Tuesday

by Jim Stinson | Updated 10 May 2017

    Selected excerpt:

“Schumer is far from the only Democrat who has questioned Comey’s judgement or called for his firing.

“Maybe he’s not in the right job,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told CNN on Nov. 2.

Clinton adviser James Carville went so far as to bizarrely suggest Comey, House Republicans, and the KGB (disbanded during the collapse of the Soviet Union) were in cahoots to elect Trump, during a Oct. 31 interview on MSNBC.

A handful of Democratic lawmakers have outright called for the FBI director to resign or be fired.”

    Give it up Liberals.

My last 3 comments over the last 2+ hour all have not appeared, are they in the spam bin?

By the way Sod and Sebastian,

have you ever read WHY now former FBI Director was fired?

BREAKING: President Trump Fires FBI Director James Comey…

In the link are ALL three legal statements posted.

Deputy Attorney General laid it out clearly, the firing was proper.

    1. SebastianH

I don’t really care about the reason or whether or not Trump is innocent. I have not written anything about this and don’t know why you think I did.

What I wrote was that Trump looks incredible stupid and incompetent. On Twitter, when presenting a speech, his actions. One could attribute all of this to inexperience, but hey … this guy is over 70 years old and should have lots of advisers who can help him out.

The firing at this point in time with this reason is adding to that impression. If it turns out that he is guilty, then I am sure whatever he did wrong he did because he didn’t knew better. In line with his famous revelation “I thought it would be easier.” 😉

P.S.: He really should quit Twitter. For everything he posts or says now there is a tweet he made that says the exact opposite. Most of the stuff he previously was mad about that the administration did (golfing, bowing to the Saudi king, not calling it radical islamic terrorism, etc) he does himself and sometimes in excess (golfing and taking vacations).

      1. sunsettommy

        Trump is not under investigation.
        Trump is not under investigation.
        Trump is not under investigation.

      2. AndyG55

“What I wrote was that Trump looks incredible stupid and incompetent.”

And as usual, the only incompetent is YOU.

What you “think” has little or no resemblance to any sort of reality.

You really should quit forums and making idiotic comments.

You are making a monumental FOOL of yourself.

Sebastian is quite the ignorant fool, since Trump and his administration did quite well in his first 100 days:

The Underreported Success of the Trump Presidency

          Selected excerpt:

          The underreported:

“While the Democrat/media complex tries to whip their base, and the country into a frenzy, this administration is putting good things in place. First and foremost for our culture is the restoration of law and order. That begins with giving the respect due to our law enforcement officials, which has been a hallmark of this administration. The outrageous demonization of law enforcement by the previous administration is gone. The ongoing praise of and cooperation with our police from Trump et al is not only refreshing, it’s going to have a long term positive effect. Violent demonstrators are no longer being coddled (except in Berkeley), instead they are prosecuted. Eventually, they won’t even get away with being lawless thugs in Berkeley.

The existing border laws are being enforced. Illegal crossings are down 70%. ICE agents have been reenergized, rounding up criminals and deporting them. Bad guys are on notice. Drug trafficking will slow. MS-13 is being fought. This is just the beginning. The Attorney General is simply enforcing laws that exist. With Trump’s resolve to control the borders, these border issues will get better, and become reasonably controlled. If this is successful, the nation will be able to take a deep breath. Genuine assimilation will have a chance to succeed.”

Trump did something previous presidents failed to do,get China onboard to corral N. Korea. He just recently build the beginning of a Middle east coalition to stamp out Terrorist and isolate Iran.

It is amazing how stupid liberals like Sebasian can be when they overlook the smart presidential success that is building over time.

          1. SebastianH

You don’t read what your (?) president writes on Twitter or says in speeches and interviews, do you?

Nobody cares what he has achieved in the eyes of some climate science denier or not. Nobody cares if he is under investigation (me the least). His actions are stupid and his reactions more so. It’s as if there were no plan at all. For example: his staff was very fast to deny that any intelligence was given to Russia. Case closed? No, Mr. Trump tweets in the morning that indeed he did that, confirms the media reports and his staff members look like liars now. That’s stupid behaviour … do you disagree?

          2. AndyG55

what I think is STUPID is people who pay any attention to twitter.

But that is you, TWIT !!

Notice how all the WaPo junk-news is from “someone” un-named.

You have zero idea what Trump meant by his tweet. You have zero idea what was and wasn’t said at meeting with Russian officials.

As usual, you have ZERO proof of ANYTHING.

Trump is playing the TWITS for what they are, and you are certainly one of those.

          3. sunsettommy

What Sebastian meant to say,is that I have no counterpoint to make against the article:

The Underreported Success of the Trump Presidency

Just run off at the mouth with other stuff, for the singular purpose to create fog.

Then it is true, that Trump and his Administration had a good first 100 days.

The whine about Trump giving classified info to Russia in dealing with Terrorists is hilarious, because the President can do that legally as it pertains to dealing with terrorists in the Middle East region.

Democrats whine because they are partisan hacks.

          4. sunsettommy

By the way Sebastian, I posted the article:

“The Underreported Success of the Trump Presidency”

to show why your statement is demonstrably wrong,

“What I wrote was that Trump looks incredible stupid and incompetent.”

Trump who got China on board to isolate N.Korea, over their irrational Nuclear belligerency, something no previous presidents succeeded doing, yet you say he is stupid and incompetent.

I never voted for Trump, because I didn’t what to think of him,but he has been a pleasant surprise.

It is YOU who is a stupid drooling at the mouth partisan jackass!

  15. sod

Trump tried to shut down the investigation. Other agencies are confirming what Comey said:

    1. AndyG55

Comey acted like a Clinton operative.

      He deserved to be sacked.

    2. sunsettommy

      Sod, from YOUR own link,

“According to two current and former intelligence officials, Trump asked DNI Dan Coats and NSA director Adm. Michael Rogers separately to publicly deny collusion after former FBI director James Comey revealed the existence of the FBI’s Russia inquiry during a March 20 testimony before the House Intelligence Committee. Both Coats and Rogers denied the request, because they believed it was inappropriate, the officials said.”

      That is it.

      No laws broken,hearsay only.

Meanwhile this part is false since the basis for firing Mr. Comey was specifically spelled out:

      The false claim:

“The Trump administration has been engulfed in controversy over the last two weeks, after he made the decision to fire Comey. Since then, it emerged that Trump had fired Comey because of “the Russia thing,” as Trump put it, and that he had revealed highly-classified intelligence to Russian diplomats during an Oval Office meeting.”

here is the real reason why Trump fired Comey:

In there you would learn the Comey UNSURPED the AG authority at the July 5,2016, also doesn’t have the power to close an investigation that was requested by the AG,that is for the Federal Prosecutors to decide. The FBI were supposed to turn over the results of the investigation to them who then decide if they should pursue criminal charges.

I think Comey did that to shield Hillary Clinton from being charged, since even Comey himself stated he thinks laws were probably violated by Clinton at that very same July 5,2016 Press Conference.

Why did YOU overlook this admission by Comey,of nearly a year ago?

  16. sod

If you want another view at this topic:

“The answer is no. Certainly, Trump has good arguments to make in his defense, beginning with what legally constitutes obstruction. But after the last two weeks, his supporters can no longer assume that his detractors will have to find an underlying crime to make big trouble for the president.”

    1. AndyG55

Trump has NOT colluded with Russia.

He has discussed ways of bring down ISIS.

Do you have a problem with bring down ISIS?????

… or is it the way you wish to live your insignificant existence, one small step worse than the green totalitarian agenda.

      Just remember, sob-sob..

if either happens.. YOU will be on the bottom rung.

  17. sunsettommy

Going to expand on why Comey was properly fired:

    The Last Refuge,

    May 19,2017

Rosenstein to Congress on Recommendation to Fire Comey: “I wrote it. I believe it. I stand by it.”…

“Good afternoon. I welcome the opportunity to discuss my role in the removal of FBI Director James Comey, although I know you understand that I will not discuss the special counsel’s ongoing investigation. Most importantly, I want to emphasize my unshakeable commitment to protecting the integrity of every federal criminal investigation. There never has been, and never will be, any political interference in any matter under my supervision in the United States Department of Justice.

Before I discuss the events of the past two weeks, I want to provide some background about my previous relationship with former Director Comey. I have known Jim Comey since approximately 2002. In 2005, when Mr. Comey was Deputy Attorney General, he participated in selecting me to serve as a U.S. Attorney. As a federal prosecutor, he was a role model. His speeches about leadership and public service inspired me.

On July 5, 2016, Director Comey held his press conference concerning the federal grand jury investigation of Secretary Clinton’s emails. At the start of the press conference, the Director stated that he had “not coordinated or reviewed this statement in any way with the Department of Justice…. They do not know what I am about to say.”

Director Comey went on to declare that he would publicly disclose “what we did; what we found; and what we are recommending to the Department of Justice.” He proceeded to disclose details about the evidence; assert that the American people “deserve” to know details; declare that no “reasonable” prosecutor would file charges; and criticize Secretary Clinton.

I thought the July 5 press conference was profoundly wrong and unfair both to the Department of Justice and Secretary Clinton. It explicitly usurped the role of the Attorney General, the Deputy Attorney General and the entire Department of Justice; it violated deeply engrained rules and traditions; and it guaranteed that some people would accuse the FBI of interfering in the election.

There are lawful and appropriate mechanisms to deal with unusual circumstances in which public confidence in the rule of law may be jeopardized. Such mechanisms preserve the traditional balance of power between investigators and prosecutors, and protect the rights of citizens.

Director Comey attended the Maryland U.S. Attorney’s Office training seminar on October 27, 2016, and gave a detailed explanation of his reasons for making public statements about the conclusion of the Secretary Clinton email investigation. I strongly disagreed with his analysis, but I believe that he made his decisions in good faith.

The next day, October 28, Mr. Comey sent his letter to the Congress announcing that the FBI was reopening the Clinton email investigation. He subsequently has said that he believed he was obligated to send the letter. I completely disagree. He again usurped the authority of the Department of Justice, by sending the letter over the objection of the Department of Justice; flouted rules and deeply engrained traditions; and guaranteed that some people would accuse the FBI of interfering in the election.

Before the Senate Judiciary Committee on May 3, 2017, Director Comey testified under oath about his public statements concerning the Secretary Clinton email investigation. I strongly disagreed with his explanations, particularly his assertion that maintaining confidentiality about criminal investigations constitutes concealment. Nonetheless, I respected him personally.

Former Department of Justice officials from both political parties have criticized Director Comey’s decisions. It was not just an isolated mistake; the series of public statements about the email investigation, in my opinion, departed from the proper role of the FBI Director and damaged public confidence in the Bureau and the Department…..”

    Piling it on,

New York Times: President Trump Asked Comey To End Flynn Investigation…

    That was on May SIXTEEN,2017

but FBI dropped the investigation of Flnn MONTHS earlier:

FBI clears Michael Flynn in probe linking him to Russia

    JANUARY 14,2017

“The FBI has reviewed intercepted phone calls between national security adviser Michael Flynn and the Russian ambassador to the US and has found no evidence of wrongdoing, it was revealed Monday.

The calls were made in late December and picked up as part of routine electronic surveillance of Russian officials. They did not reveal any illicit ties between Flynn and Russia, according to the Washington Post.”

    You are freaking NUTS Sebastian!

    Meanwhile back to the link,

WASHINGTON — President Trump asked the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, to shut down the federal investigation into Mr. Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael T. Flynn, in an Oval Office meeting in February, according to a memo Mr. Comey wrote shortly after the meeting.

“I hope you can let this go,” the president told Mr. Comey, according to the memo.

The existence of Mr. Trump’s request is the clearest evidence that the president has tried to directly influence the Justice Department and F.B.I. investigation into links between Mr. Trump’s associates and Russia. (read more)

“The New York Times reports this oval office meeting between President Trump and FBI Director James Comey took place on Valentines Day, February 14th, 2017.

[…] The Feb. 14 meeting took place just a day after Mr. Flynn was forced out of his job after it was revealed he had lied to Vice President Mike Pence about the nature of phone conversations he had had with the Russian ambassador to the United States.

As we said last week: ‘For several months the media have been steadfast in their efforts to turn this into Watergate 2.0. To achieve that objective the political angle-players and media need only to paint Trump into a corner with a credible accusation of the president interfering with an FBI investigation (Flynn). Against the timeline above, as played out this week with Sally Yates testimony to congress, they are only a couple more timely misinformation leaks and twisted reports away from making that happen’. (more)

According to the Times report, Comey did nothing at the time (Feb. 14th), or throughout the time between the meeting until he was fired.

[…] After writing up a memo that outlined the meeting, Mr. Comey shared it with senior F.B.I. officials. Mr. Comey and his aides perceived Mr. Trump’s comments as an effort to influence the investigation, but they decided that they would try to keep the conversation secret — even from the F.B.I. agents working on the Russia investigation — so the details of the conversation would not affect the investigation. (link)

Notice how Comey’s aides state they kept the memo secret from FBI agents working on the Russia investigation. Convenient huh? This is how the current storytellers get around McCabe’s testimony to congress where he stated the administration had made no efforts to influence the investigation.

    Again, to the NYT article:

In testimony to the Senate last week, the acting F.B.I. director, Andrew G. McCabe, said, “There has been no effort to impede our investigation to date.”

Mr. McCabe was referring to the broad investigation into possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. The investigation into Mr. Flynn is separate.

The New York Times makes sure they draw that useful notation.

This is all scripted. All of it. From timing, to substance, to intent, to vague disingenuous and anonymous “sources”, etc.

This is a scripted and coordinated left-wing media construct.”

Again quote the most important part to show that the Media are full of partisan bullshit!

“According to the Times report, Comey did nothing at the time (Feb.

This is how the current storytellers get around McCabe’s testimony to congress where he stated the administration had made no efforts to influence the investigation.”

Trump NEVER interfered with the FBI investigation on Flynn the entire time!

Try not to fall for the Media’s misleading dishonest bullcrap so easily or quickly,Sebastian!!!!!!

This crap has been going on all year, hoping that easy to con clods like you swallow it so deeply, pathetic!

It is wonderful to find “Watermelons” like “sod” suffering from TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome). If it gets any worse their little heads will explode. Here is a typical pearl of wisdom from “sod”:

Nobody has respect for Trump. Basically everyone thinks that he is insane.

Over sixty million people voted for Donald Trump. If he continues to deliver the things he promised during his campaign he has a good chance of being recognized as the “BEST PRESIDENT EVAH”. Look for a Reagan like landslide in 2020.
