New Papers: Ex-NOAA Climatologist And Russian Physicists Find Human Contribution To Warming 0.0°C-0.02°C

Two more additions to the steadily accumulating evidence CO2 plays an insignificant to negligible role in climate change have recently been published in the scientific literature.

Last year, Dr. Rex J. Fleming, a former  NOAA climate scientist who earned both his Master’s and Ph.D in meteorology, published a paper (Fleming, 2018) in the Environmental Earth Sciences journal that detailed the lack of an identifiable causal relationship between CO2 concentration changes and Earth’s temperature.

Fleming theorized that the Earth has warmed in the modern era as a consequence of the strong solar activity during the 20th century  (the Modern Maximum) shielding cosmic ray intensification and thus reducing decadal-scale cloud cover, which leads to warming via an increase in absorbed surface solar radiation as illustrated here by Ogurtsov et al., 2012 and detailed by Avakyan, 2013McLean, 2014, Herman et al., 2013, Goode and Palle, 2007, Loeb et al., 2018, Pokrovsky, 2019, and others.

Fleming has now published an expanded version of his 2018 paper in a Springer© book entitled The Rise and Fall of the Carbon Dioxide Theory of Climate Change.

He reaches the same conclusion: CO2 has “no role” in the process of influencing climate.

Another climate sensitivity paper (Krainov and Smirnov, 2019) published in the journal Atomic and Molecular Radiative Processes finds a negligible (0.02 K) warming contribution from human emissions.

Physicists Dr. Vladimir Krainov, atomic physicist, and Dr. Boris Smirnov, author of over a dozen physics textbooks – conclude “injections of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere as a result of combustion of fossil fuesls is not important for the greenhouse effect.”

In a podcast with Delingpole, Dr. Rex J. Fleming mentions Pierre Gosselin, starting at time mark 10:30: https://youtu.be/Gz9v2vKSyN8

Thanks for bringing this to my attention! 🙂

It surprised many, but there are other more surprising facts about climate change that are hardly published in our everyday news media. Below are some facts – scientifically recognized and published in peer-reviewed journals – that may raise your eyebrows.

I am undecided if I will buy Fleming’s book. It appears to have some useful detail on CO2 absorption and emission that I may find interesting.

On the other hand it irks me to think that Fleming once worked for an organisation that actually promotes the myth about CO2. A person of integrity would not abide working for an organisation that was underpinning so much economic harm.

I know of an Australian scientist, Warren Stannard, who left the CSIRO because he could not abide the corruption of science. His book was my first step in recognising the myth regarding the CO2 global thermostat:

    No longer in print.

Thanks for the reminder, Will. Warren Stannard’s approch looks interestibg. However, not only is hus book out of print, apparently the run was so small that the second-hand market for it is empty.

Why doesn’t he – or his executor – have it self-printed on Amazon? Ebooks are cheap to produce, sell, and distribute, and the remuneration to the author is premium. And mentions like yours in skeptic cicles could keep it sdelling while thre “climate crisis” remains en vogue.

The imprint house needs to be contacted.

I don’t know why the link above in my first comment is incorrect. Find the correct video at YouTube under

This contains the mention of Pierre Gosselin.

Sorry for being confused, the link in my first comment does work, after all. I must have accidentally clicked on the link provided by Brian Jones in his comment above. Anyhow, it is always good to see that Pierre Gosselin’s outstanding work is appreciated and more widely disseminated.

I believe these authors may well be right, but as a skeptic on can never be absolutely sure.

There is a counter argument on climate change as put forth by Professor Valentina Zharkova who gave a presentation of her Climate and the Solar Magnetic Field hypothesis at the Global Warming Policy Foundation in October, 2018. But the media and Democrats ignore such information.
Valentina Zharkova is a Professor in Mathematics at Northumbria University. She has a BSc/MSc in Applied Mathematics and Astronomy, a Ph.D. in Astrophysics, certificate in project management
Reportedly Zharkova was one of the few that correctly predicted solar cycle 24 would be weaker than cycle 23 — only 2 out of 150 models predicted this. Her models have run at a 93% accuracy and her findings suggest a Super Grand Solar Minimum is in the cards beginning in 2020 and running for 350-400 years. Another little Ice Age.
