75% Of German Wind Turbines Kill 70 Bats Each In 2 Months. There Are 30,000 Wind Turbines In Germany.

In ‘a call against ignorance and neglect’, researchers expose the massacre of bat populations inflicted by wind turbines in Germany.

Per a new study, there were 209 bats slaughtered in a span of 2 months at 3 studied wind turbine sites in Germany. This amounts to about “70 casualties per turbine.” (These turbine fatality rates are regarded as an underestimate, as they exclude the turbine deaths from the summer/autumn migration season.)

The 3 wind turbines studied are sited and operated without any conservation measures to curtail bat fatalities.

Approximately 3 of every 4 of Germany’s 30,000 onshore wind turbines are similar to these 3 turbines from the study in that they offer no curtailment or habitat protection for bat populations.

Because it is believed (by activists and policymakers) erecting wind turbines has a net positive impact on the Earth’s climate, we can be assured the bat carnage will continue for decades to come.

You’d need 30,000 Don Quixotes to correct the situation.

Bat fatalities have now been documented at most wind facilities in the U.S. and Canada and it is estimated that tens to hundreds of thousands die at wind turbines in North America each year.

But this is a Good Thing, isn’t it? All those bats were breathing out CO2, so they were contributing to Man And Bat Made Global Warming.

I bet they farted out a bit of methane, too.

    1. Vanessa Crichton

So does every single Human Being EXHALE CO2 – You are equally to blame !!! Except that CO2 is PLANT FOOD and without it no human would be able to live! Most of our FOOD is plant based (even cows eat GRASS !)

  5. Ben Vorlich

Those numbers would apply to German’s neighbours France, Netherlands and Southern UK and the rest.
So 10s of millions of bats killed across NW Europe.

  6. Gerry, England

The problem with this slaughter is that bats have a low reproduction rate.

  7. Vanessa Crichton

Not just bats, but millions of birds and especially the eagles and large majestic birds. They are just KILLING FIELDS and WE PAY millions to do this !!!

  8. Michael Peinsipp

    +- 800 THOUSAND each month!!!

This sounds like great news! After all the current dogma is that the last PCR kit “pandemic” was caused by Bats somewhere in China.
If we can avoid the same happening in Germany isn’t that a “good” thing?!

So it seems perfectly acceptable and logical that we cull as much Bats as possible while using GREEN SUSTAINABLE wind turbines.

In fact this is wonderful… Fight Climate Change and the Next Bat Pandemic with just one tool.

What can be better than this?
So your recommendations fall short of the Global Trend to achieve a better and more Sustainable and Healthy Planet/Future.
