Mean Cosmic Radiation Over Past 8 Years Highest Since 1958 …Current Solar Cycle Weakest In Almost Two Centuries!

The Sun in April
By Frank Bosse and Prof. Fritz Vahrenholt
[Translated, edited by P Gosselin]

The sole real source of energy for our planet also was also below normal in April: The sunspot number (SSN) was 54.4. Taking the average of the previous 23 cycles, that is only 70% of what is average for this month into the cycle.

Compared to March activity rose some 46%. These short-term changes however are usual noise in the overall signal, which says the entire activity since the current cycle began has been only 53% of the mean value since 1750.

Figure 1: Current solar cycle 24 (red), the mean solar cycle (blue) and the similar solar cycle  no. 7, which took place from 1823 to 1833 and was the last in the Dalton Minimum.

The comparison with solar cycle no. 7 could see increasingly large deviations in the months ahead, as solar activity increased markedly, as depicted by sharp peaks of the black line in Figure 1. Such a development appears highly improbable for solar cycle no. 24. What follows is a comparison of all cycles:

Figure 2: The accumulated solar cycle sunspot anomaly for all cycles 77 months into the cycle. The current cycle began in December 2008.

Figure 3: The speed of the solar wind, which impacts the Earth’s upper atmospheric layers, has fallen off since the early 1990s. It is expressed as the geomagnetic Ap Index. It is a measure of the sun’s impact on the Earth’s magnetic field. Source of the image: Climate4you.

Not only the Earth is impacted by the solar winds, but also the entire sun’s surroundings far out in space. The heliosphere reacts to the stream of particles from the sun. When it is weaker – as is the case during times of solar minima – more cosmic radiation from the Milky Way can penetrate into the Earth’s atmosphere. This is measured here on Earth, e.g. in Moscow since 1958:

Figure 4: Changes in cosmic radiation

During the solar sunspot number maxima (compared to 2000) the solar wind is stronger and thus reduces cosmic radiation by up to 20% when compared to the minima in activity. The current cycle (maximum is already over) is bringing only about an 8% reduction. Over the entire period since 2006 there has been significantly more cosmic radiation than any such period since 1958.

Another factor involved with solar activity is UV radiation. It strongly depends on the sunspot number because the ultraviolet radiation is produced in the areas near sunspots. Unlike the other visible ranges of the spectrum, sunspots in UV images appear brighter than the surrounding areas. Although UV radiation mainly has an impact in the stratosphere, there are top-down effects that lead to impacts to the troposphere.

The signals for solar activity all continue to point to “very low“. We can all wait with suspense to see what impacts the low solar activity will have.

Thanks, Professor Gosselin, for this translation.

The inverse correlation of solar activity with radiation wavelength is intriguing because cosmic rays come from the Sun’s pulsar core and produced higher “cosmic ray exposure ages” for

a.) Iron meteorites that formed near the pulsar than for
b.) Stone meteorites that formed further from the pulsar

I will post a link (below) to empirical evidence the Sun

c.) Made all the chemical elements in the solar system
d.) Birthed the solar system five billion years (5 Ga) ago
e.) [After H and He accumulated to moderate radiation]
f.) Sustained life’s origin and evolution after 3.5 Ga ago
g.) Still controls every atom and life in the solar system and the climate of each planet.

    The Historical Roots of AGW

The scientific revolution began with Copernicus’ 1543 discovery the Sun is a fountain of energy giving light and heat to Earth and other planets orbiting the Sun.

The Church said this was heresy, but Galileo defended himself at trial in 1633, noting the heliocentric solar system is the “Divine Order” that any other persistent observer could decipher.

Subsequent observations revealed additional features of this “Divine Order:

The fountain of energy that gives heat and light to Earth is also the Creator, Sustainer and Destroyer of every atom and life on Earth, and every planet in the entire Solar System [1], as Kuroda surmised while standing in the ruins of Hiroshima in Aug 1945: “THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD MAY HAVE BEEN JUST LIKE THIS” nuclear explosion that destroyed Hiroshima [2] (words capitalized for emphasis).

Two months later, world leaders – frightened by events hidden from the public during a news blackout in Aug-Sept 1945 and by the last paragraph of Aston’s Nobel Lecture on 12 Dec 1922 [3] – agreed to unite nations (UN) and national academies of sciences (NAS) on 24 Oct 1945 to prevent public knowledge of NEUTRON REPULSIONthe powerful “force of creation, preservation and destruction” with three (#1-3) standard models that recently evolved into a fourth (#4):

#1. Standard Nuclear Model: The force between neutrons is attractive

#2. Standard Solar Model: Hydrogen-filled stars are heated by H-fusion

    #3. Big Bang Cosmology: Created H from nothing, starting time @ t = 0

#4. Anthropologic Global Warming: Man-made CO2 heats planet Earth

Worldwide modifications in post-1945 science reduced the conflict with religion, and on 22 Nov 1951 Pope Pius XII announced to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences that modern science proved the existence of God.

But humanity was denied the promise in the last paragraph of Aston’s Nobel Lecture of 12 Dec 1922 because of the decision to hide Neutron Repulsion – the source of energy that

    _ a.) Destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Aug 1945;

_ b.) Created and sustains every atom and life [1]; and

_ c.) The climate of every planet [5] in the Solar System.

That is the historical and tragic roots of the AGW scam.

Agreed, solar is definitely moving forward with huge advancements in technology, and with the introduction of new organic fuel concepts – the future of solar is very bright. The only downside is the size and cost – however both of these issues will see solutions within the next 3-5 years, guaranteed. PV panels and AIO home hubs is where we should be focusing our efforts on!

“Agreed, solar is definitely moving forward with huge advancements in technology,”

Well the cost of a Wattpeak halfs once every decade, since the 1970ies. There are no huge advancements; rather, incremental optimizations of the manufacturing process and unit cost reductions through the experience curve; i.e. simple economics of scale.

The problem BTW is no longer the cost of a Wattpeak of Solar, that’s at 0.21 Eurocents, the problem is storage.

” and with the introduction of new organic fuel concepts – the future of solar is very bright.”

What’s “organic fuel”? Burning wheat grown without pesticides?

      1. DirkH

        Meh, 0.21 Euro, sorry, typo.
