Leftist Fantasies Of Bloody Violence Now Becoming The New Reality

Note: Kenneth’s usual Thursday post will appear tomorrow

U.S. House Majority Whip Steve Scalise was seriously wounded by a loony leftist gunman, who obviously had been driven over the edge by all the recent hate signals coming from a violence-inciting media.

However, all the left-wing environmental violence just didn’t start yesterday, or since Trump started his campaign. It has in fact been energetically brewing for years. We’ve been warning about it for a long time. Especially skeptics of alarmist climate science bear witness to this. For example an Austrian professor not long ago called for the execution of climate deniers.

Before that, in 2010, a video of pornographic violence produced by the 10 10 climate activism campaign and Richard Curtis fantasized of blowing up climate skeptics:

The message: people who refuse to accept global warming dogma need to be dehumanized, blown up and discarded with the trash. Today these disturbing fantasies of violence are becoming the new reality.

In 2007 Greenpeace featured an angry kid, who used highly threatening language aimed at adults who declined to agree to all radical carbon emissions reductions. Give in to our demands, or we’ll throw a tantrum like you’ve never seen.

That kid has since grown up, and we’ll note that none of his scripted “by the time I grow up” catastrophe scenarios have come to pass. Ironically the one prediction that has come true is that they “won’t be cute“. Today’s youth are resorting to a level of political violence and destruction not seen in generations.

Recently, Australian climate skeptic journalist Andrew Bolt was attacked as well. The list of attacks on skeptics is endless.

Severed heads, “blood in the streets”

On the political front, things have caught up and surpassed the viciousness we’ve seen in climate science. Far more disturbing was Grammy award-winning comedian Kathy Griffin holding up a model severed head looking like Donald Trump.

Yesterday Breitbart provided a list of 15 examples of celebrities envisioning violence against the GOP or President Trump.

Even former Department of Justice head Loretta Lynch hinted at “blood in the streets“.

Germany’s AfD party under constant violent attack

Leftist violence is not exclusive to the USA, but is worrisomely real in Germany. The right wing AfD party – a completely legal and totally legitimate party – has been physically attacked numerous times by leftist thugs. The media mostly ignores it all, and thus give the green light for the violence to continue.

Justice by thugs

In April one AfD politician was beaten with a board by a lunatically radicalized 18 year-old. Such attacks are often viewed with glee and snickers of delight in Germany. Alternative views and opinions are no longer tolerated in the land of “poets and thinkers”, where one can be in favor of intergenerational relationships, communism, Sharia law, etc. but must avoid expressing support for strong borders, Brexit or the US President.

Even hotels and establishments providing hosting services for AfD events are singled out and violently attacked. Die Welt here writes how one establishment owner had to shut down:

Doors were vandalized, tires punctured, horse manure sprayed: After massive threats an innkeeper in Schleswig Holstein closed his business. He had rented rooms to the AfD for an election campaign party.”

The list of attacks on the right wing party is long as well, and all carried out by radical leftists with the full blessing or tolerance of “mainstream” parties and media.

It’s time to call for a march of tolerance in Washington, and an end to the political posse that’s been unleashed by the left.

I disagree with this assessment. I do not have data for the USA, but for Germany (from the Verfassungsschutzbericht):

    crimes by left wing extremists:

    crimes by right wing extremists:

similar violence numbers, much more crimes from the right wing.

over the last couple of decades, murder was basically restricted to right wing extremists and the numbers had to be increased recently, because police and secret services have been found to under report incidents (a follow up to the NSU disaster…).

I would love to see data from the USA. Does anyone have a source or a link?

    1. AndyG55

      “I disagree with this assessment.”

      So What. !!

    2. AndyG55

Funny how they class “Neo-National Socialists ” as right win extremists, wouldn’t you agree.

    3. AndyG55

And of course, in Germany, the whole country is far-left anyway, so a far left extremist would have no-one to argue with, and would hardly even be noticed.

      1. sod

Look, i m pretty angry about what this guy did. It is even not only about violence, but also about the idea of attacking politicians during a sports event. This is about as low and stupid as things get.

But your ideas about the general situation in political violence is utterly false. The police and the country states (it gives your place a very bad context…) are seriously UNDER REPORTING right wing violence. This is a fact.

        1. RAH

Not in the US they aren’t. And that’s a Fact! Every time there is some wacko shooting the left first tries to blame right in their press. The NYT just “corrected” an article that claimed Sara Palin incited a wacko to shoot Rep. Gabby Giffords in 2011. It was a patently false claim and everyone that was familiar with the cases details knows it! The leftist media do it every time.

Way back in 1992 during the Washington Beltway Shootings, I well remember it was stated by the press that it was probably an “angry white male”. https://www.crimemuseum.org/crime-library/mass-murder/the-washington-dc-sniper/

Then there was NYC mayor Bloomberg concerning the perp of Times Square bombing. http://hotair.com/archives/2010/05/03/bloomberg-hey-maybe-the-times-square-bomber-was-upset-about-the-health-care-bill/

I have more. But have provided enough to demonstrate the veracity of my point. Now lets see you support your statement concerning such attacks in the US.

  2. SebastianH

While violence is never a good thing, why does the right always try to victimize themselves? Why do climate skeptics act like they are victims of some kind of witch hunt (see Zoologist post a few days ago)? Why does Mr. Trump think that the richest superpower on this planet is treated unfairly and is a victim of global politics/treaties?

There is a pattern to this madness.

    1. Josh

Because skeptics have become victims of a witch hunt.

  3. Agent76

Nov 28, 2016 Weather is NOT Climate!

No, weather is NOT climate…even when it’s warm outside. But in case there’s a climate cultist in your life that insists otherwise, here are some facts about global warming and vaguely-defined “extreme” weather that you can use to talk some sense into them.

  4. sod

I am curious, is there any evidence for this claim:

“the full blessing or tolerance of “mainstream” parties and media.”???

because i did not stumble about any.

But there was a recent event, which was somehow similar, though different i scale. I am talking about the attack on a report, by elected republican Gianforte:

Because in that case, it is really simple to get examples of right wing media supporting the violence and also evidence of the justice system really messing up.

so my simple question: any links?

    1. yonason (from my cell phone)
      1. sod

sorry, but please give me a direct link. Like i did with Rush Limbaugh above:

        Here is the claim again:

“the full blessing or tolerance of “mainstream” parties and media.”

now i am asking you for direct citations and links that support this sentence. You have none!

PS: If you are constantly getting information from the sources that you cited above, you are in deep trouble.

        1. yonason (from my cell phone)

Don’t pretend I haven’t given you links, and a lot more than you. There are numerous direct links in my refs. Hopefully Pierre will dig my complete comment out of whatever black hole it was sent to, as it has several more links.

Yet another, with multiple direct links.

Will this yet again prove that you can lead a chatbot sod to information, but you can’t make him think?

          1. sod

“Don’t pretend I haven’t given you links, and a lot more than you.”

your links are total garbage. Like with climate science, they do not say what you think they are saying.

            here is the claim again:

““the full blessing or tolerance of “mainstream” parties and media.””

so we need direct links and quotes from the mainstream media and “parties”. I have seen none so far.

let us look at just one of your claims:

“This guy founded DailyKos and Vox Media:

Republicans are getting what they want. https://t.co/8ZUnso6JCV

            — Markos Moulitsas (@markos) June 14, 2017″

            (the last on the list)

This one sounds really horrible, until you go to the source:

because it is a reply to Rand Paul in 2016:

            ” Senator Rand Paul ‏Verifizierter Account @RandPaul

.@Judgenap: Why do we have a Second Amendment? It’s not to shoot deer. It’s to shoot at the government when it becomes tyrannical!

            09:48 – 23. Juni 2016″

Your links show the OPPOSITE of what you claim!

          2. yonason (from my cell phone)

Open minded and thoughtful people see the problem clearly. Dull and dishonest soul-dead chatbots never will.

Final thought for a while: when the political left took over in Germany in the 30’s, one of the first things they did was to ban private gun ownership – same for every other totalitarian govt. It’s to make it harder for the citizens who disagree with them from removing them.

    2. yonason (from my cell phone)
    3. JustAnOldGuy

You equate a one-on-one body slam with an firearm assault on an unarmed group of individuals trapped on a fenced-in athletic field? You equate a unplanned outburst with a formulated, planned and targeted attack with murderous intent? I suppose that if a conservative audibly farted while in the presence of a liberal addressing his flock of sheep he’d be guilty of disrupting a public meeting and inciting to riot.

  5. Leonard Lane

Thank you Mr Gosselin. The left always slides or falls into violence to achieve what what they cannot achieve in a free and honest discussion.
It usually starts with intolerance (e.g. attacks on deniers from verbal to physical led by the left and its lapdog media). Then comes the media suggested and supported violence against those they hate. Finally, the hoards of indoctrinated and miss-educated leftists follow the media leaders and hunt and kill the opposition.
A question is how do we get rid of the leftist hate mongers and their useful idiots without destroying our freedoms?

    1. SebastianH

      leftist hate mongers

Any examples? Have you read right wing publications lately? Hate speech (at least in Germany) is mainly coming from the right. No contest!

      1. yonason (from my cell phone)

Speaking of examples, WHERE ARE YOURS?

        1. SebastianH

Any conservative news/blog … look in the comment sections. Any AfD Facebook page. Do you want specific links?

          1. yonason (from my cell phone)

Specific links is what I want. Yes.

          2. SebastianH

See sods list of comments on Breitbart. You can pick any conservative blog and look at the comments. The authors of the articles are usually intelligent enough and know what is legal and what isn’t and how to play the masses. They don’t disappoint in the comment sections.

I am sure there are also left blogs/news site with equally bad comments, but don’t act like right wing nutters don’t exist and are populating the comment sections of virtually every publication that allows them to comment.

          3. yonason (from my cell phone)

I know what the conservative blogs say, and have provided multiple links to their material. Sod was referencing not what Breitbart wrote, but what one commentator did. His link to Rush was fatuous, as Rush was analyzing leftist violence, not advocating any by our side.

Bottom line, you chatbots have nothing but fact-free accusations.

      2. yonason (from my cell phone)

PS, see my comments above to your chatbot buddy, for a few examples of leftist incitement.

      3. yonason (from my cell phone)

        Still waiting for yours, SebH.

        Here’s another of mine.

        1. yonason (from my cell phone)
      4. Josh

Have you seen the bile and hatred on the commentary on left wing sites? It is eye watering.

        1. yonason (from my cell phone)

I don’t go to them, as a rule, but it’s plain enough to see where I do frequent.

Here’s a Bernie video and some analysis.

That alone is more than both chatbots have given us.

  6. Ana Luisa

Violence against climate change deniers is obviously despicable and unacceptable.

That being said, I’m still waiting for any serious scientific article that would give us a real reason to doubt that AGW is happening and very dangerous, and that we have to do something about it.

Until now, my main source of information on this subject (= climate change denying) was Breitbart.

Articles on science over there are rarely written by scientists, and most of the time by political commentators such as James Delingpole.

It’s extremely easy to debunk his articles, so … where’s the science, if you want to deny AGW … ?

    1. ClimateOtter

      ‘happening and very dangerous’

You mean like the increasing number of hurricanes- oh wait, NOT HAPPENING.

You mean like the increasing numbers of tornados- oh wait, NOT HAPPENING.

You mean like the increasing desertification of the globe – oh wait, NOT HAPPENING.

You mean like the devastation of the phytoplankton population in the oceans – oh wait, NOT HAPPENING.

You mean like the meltdown of the Greenland ice cap – oh wait, NOT HAPPENING.

      And so on.

      And so forth.

    2. AndyG55

“for any serious scientific article that would give us a real reason to doubt that AGW is happening”

Ana, you also are invited to find one bit of REAL science evidence (if you know what that is), that proves that CO2 causes warming of oceans or of a convective atmosphere.

Or you can be happy and naïve to just follow a BASELESS, UNSUPPORTABLE religious zealot-type BELIEF like the seb-sob twins.

    3. Josh

Give us a break. We’ve had it with the ‘denial’ slime remarks. The NIPPC along with thousands of independent scientists have published material that seriously challenges the climate catastrophy meme, if you care to look.

  7. CO2isLife

Congress Should Break Up Hatebook into Multiple Independent Identity Facebooks

Just recently I wrote a post about being censored on Facebook for doing nothing more than being critical of the AGW theory. This following quote is my best guess at what got the article banned:

  8. clipe

“There is more media coverage for conservatives’ “microaggressions” toward powerful minorities -– such as using the wrong pronoun — than there is for liberals’ physical attacks on conservatives, including macings, concussions, and hospitalizations.

And now some nut Bernie Sanders-supporter confirms that it’s Republicans standing on a baseball field, before opening fire.”

    COULTER: The ‘Resistance’ Goes Live-Fire

  9. RAH

I suspect there will be more murders or attempted murders of Republicans in the US. The democrats, their news, and their Hollywood have been driving their leftists kooks toward this for some time.

Has anyone else noticed that since the war on Trump and his supporters began that the war on the police suddenly dropped off their screens?

Could it be that the whole war on the police thing and all of the violence that it fomented was concocted to try and motivate black voters to come out for democrats and in particular Hilary during the election? Na! The democrats and the press would never collude to do such a thing now would they?

12.06.2017 Gallup Finds Stunning Decline in Americans’ Respect for US Government

On June 9th, Gallup’s Editor-In-Chief, Frank Newport, headlined «Americans Want More Than Just Budget Cuts» and reported that, «Gallup’s latest update shows that 28% of Americans have a favorable opinion of the federal government, while 55% have an unfavorable opinion. That’s the lowest rating for any business or industry sector we tested».

  11. clipe

“As Breitbart Editor-at-Large Joel Pollak pointed out, “the Times‘ false equivalence between the two shootings provides a sick excuse for what Hodgkinson did by making it appear to be partially Republicans’ fault. That is worse than ‘fake news.’ It is an effort to exploit a horrific act of violence for the purpose of stoking political divisions, reinforcing the hysteria in which Hodgkinson was steeped.””

  12. clipe

Breitbart drives ‘Progressives’ crazy, I hope they have taken appropriate security precautions.

  13. cementafriend
  14. sod

To see a couple of right win fantasies, look at Breitbart comments:

“Will the conservatives ever get the balls to punch back? If not you will lose your country.”

“(If the cops hadn’t been there yesterday, we would have had a dozen congressmen murdered and it would definitely be leftist hunting season.”

“I’m ready and they will never see me coming…. By the by, with what’s going on now here in the States, NOW you know why Michael and the IRA did and does what it does – FOR FREEDOM!”

” Imagine groups of people hiding in the woods and buildings picking off gangbangers and antifa thugs left and right. After a day and thousands of casualties the left will cry and beg for forgiveness, which they will get, after they are kicked out of the country for being traitors.”

    1. sod

Oh , one guy on Breitbart even understands the obvious difference between left- and right wing violence:

      ” rukidding Tripper • 9 hours ago

One thing is certain. When the RIGHT rises up they will not be throwing rocks at police, lighting cars on fire, or looting liquor stores.”

      1. ClimateOtter

You are right on that score, sod. They will be shooting down slime who were murdering innocent people, destroying property and attempting to tear down our country. We did something similar in the late 1700s.

      2. RAH

The left in the US realizes this. One reason they constantly push gun control.

        1. sod

“The left in the US realizes this. One reason they constantly push gun control.”

let me get this clear: right wingers are openly threatening gun violence, killing thousands of people. The left wing is pushing for gun control, in the normal legislative process.

and somehow you find the latter bad and the former ok? That is not bias, that is simply insane!

          1. AndyG55

“That is not bias, that is simply insane!”

            Yes you ARE bias and

YES, you are TOTALLY INSANE, sob-sob.

You and you leftist socialist totalitarian THUGS think you can continue to push normal law-abiding people around…

… push your crappy agenda onto people who want nothing to do with it…

.. sooner or later , those normal people are going to get jack of it.

          2. sunsettommy

            Hold on right there,Sod.

Most mass killings are from democrat shooters. The latest one is a liberal whacko, who shoots up a ball field.

The 10:10 and Angry kids videos are from Liberals.

Black Lives Matter,Earth First are known liberal terrorist organizations.

Vast majority of murder in America are in Liberal dominated cities. Black on black murder rate is about 90%,yet the liberal media centers on the rare White on Black killings, ignores the real problem, continually try to destroy the often innocent Police Officer.

Liberals are continual liars about Gun control, now openly wants to change the second amendment.

America is not even in the top 100 Nations in PER CAPITA murder rate. There have been over 50% reduction in murder rate since the early 1980’s,while America has more firearms PER CAPITA in the world, along with a large increase in Concealed Carry handguns being carried around in public.

Your statement is dishonest and misleading, since loudmouthed threatening talk,is not the same as actual actions of murder and mayhem.

“let me get this clear: right wingers are openly threatening gun violence, killing thousands of people. The left wing is pushing for gun control, in the normal legislative process.”

It was the liberals back in early 1900’s and 1967,passing a Gun control law, that created the immediate upsurge in gun crimes that peaked in the 1980’s before Concealed carry started coming along.

It was the liberals who keep making problems with their irrational anti gun narrative. Most of the big killers are liberals and most gun crimes are being committed in liberal dominated cities of America.

“Most mass killings are from democrat shooters.”

            no. That is a lie.

I the real world, right wing extremists are more violent and kill about the same number of people as islamists did over recent periods. (you folks would of course want 9/11 removed from such a count, like you want to have it with el nino years?!?)

Here is a clue on why your source never contradicted my statement, here is the HEADLINE of the link:

“Who is More of a Threat: Far-Right or Muslim Extremists?”

The link drones on over just two small groups, leaving out other groups and murders. It is clear you are just dumb as usual since they focused on just two groups.

The link report is misleading, fails to see the big picture on why Muslims are a threat anywhere.

Here is a couple websites you never visited showing just how dangerous Muslims are around the world:

    The Violent Political Left

  20. tom0mason

When seeking to influence the hearts and minds of most people, especially when a debate is highly polarized, truth (actual reality) is always the first casualty. All to often what may or may not be probable becomes fixed as absolute.
Being able to identify a group of people and label them, no matter how inaccurately, can be one of the first step towards violence.
Specifics and rationalities of an argument are reordered as absolutes, logic is bypassed the as nuances of words true meanings are diminished and arguments decay to shouts of ‘them’ or ‘us’, or cries of ‘lock’em up’ whispers of ‘kill them’.

The human nature (our psyche)pushes us to forming like-minded groupings. These groups then are easily manipulated by other groups (power-seekers) to react as mobs. Mobs and the psyche that drives them do not see each others’ groups a collection of individuals, as people with family and friends, they often (illogically) see evil intent, see threats, see retribution for past perceived wrongs, or a imagine futures damned by oppressive political dominance.
Moving from group to mob is often swift and painful, it is incumbent on each of us, as individuals, to resist such moves even if that requires us to move away and leave our group of choice.

As Jacob Bronowski said, in his TV series ‘The Ascent of Man’; as he stood in the pond water in Auschwitz concentration camp where his murdered family’s ashes were flushed away …

It’s said that science will dehumanize people and turn them into numbers. That’s false, TRAGICALLY false.
(Standing at the water’s edge in Auschwitz concentration camp)
Look for yourself. This is the concentration camp and crematorium at Auschwitz. This is where people were turned into numbers. Into this pond were flushed the ashes of some four million people. That was not done by gas – it was done by arrogance, it was done by dogma , it was done by ignorance.
When people believe that they have absolute knowledge, with no test in reality, this is how they behave. This is what men do when they aspire to the knowledge of gods.

Science is a very human form of knowledge. We are always at the brink of the know, we always feel forward for what is to be hoped. Every judgement in science stands on the edge of error, and is personal. Science is a tribute to what we can know, ALTHOUGH we are fallible. In the end, the words were said by Oliver Cromwell — “I beseech you, in the bowels of Christ, think it possible you may be mistaken.”

I owe it to as a scientist to my friend Leo Szilard, I owe it as a human being to the many members of *my* family who dies here, to stand here as a survivor and a witness.
(Slowly he steps into the shallow water)
We have to cure ourselves of the itch for absolute knowledge and power. We have to close the distance between the push-button order and the human act.
(Bending down with cupped hands he reaches into the weeds in the water, lowering his voice…)
    We have to TOUCH PEOPLE.

I would appear to have another comment in the spam bin ….

  22. RAH

If and when the time comes that it requires punitive action to protect my liberties and those of my fellow citizens I will kill the despots that are attempting to take them away or who fight for those that do.

When I enlisted in the US Army I took the following oath:
“I, (state name of enlistee), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”

Notice that every enlistee takes that oath.
Take particular notice the soldier is swearing an oath to protect and defend the Constitution (IOW the PEOPLE) from all enemies, be they foreign or domestic.
FACT: Any orders given by any superior or official that are in conflict with that principle are unlawful no matter who they come from.

I am no longer in the Army, but as a US citizen that is part of the unorganized militia per section 10 of the US Code.

This is why the left has pushed gun control. They wish to disarm the unorganized militia which will take up arms to defend their liberties as expressed in the Constitution of the United States. And this is why the left maintains that the Constitution is not a statement of unbending laws but a “living breathing document” which can be changed or even abrogated using unconstitutional means.

i took a similar oath and you are trying to lecture a citizen of Germany about the right of resistance?
i have not seen any numbers comparing violence from different sides. Does nobody have numbers and a link?

      1. AndyG55

The Germany citizens are almost all far-left sychophant..

… like you are, otherwise this likes of communist sociopaths like Mercel would never get elected, and the likes of Junket would NEVER be allowed to DICTATE from his unelected high and mighty bureaucratic position.

You will only get the right causing problems over there.

    2. SebastianH

Seriously, you think gun control is taking away your right to defend yourselves?

Civilized countries with gun control still have people owning guns … but with far less gun violence because you can’t “just buy” guns, etc. The US is a third world country in this regard.

      1. yonason (from my cell phone)

        Responsible gun ownership saves lives.

But I wouldn’t expect a lefty programmed chatbot to admit it.

I do not support violence. But i agree in one point to opinions written here: we will see a rise in “left wing” violence in the near future.

But there is a problem with this numerical approach: There is an obvious problem in the US judiciary system and if you are against violence, you have to start to punish policemen who shoot black people without reason.

The most recent example is this one:

What happened under Obama was bad enough. the guilty policemen would walk free, but get fired or punished internally and a FBI probe would change rules at the badly organised and led police departments, which are the real problem here.

Now the Trump administration will not even do this minor thing. This will cause a wave of violence that we have not seen before.

    1. AndyG55

“we will see a rise in “left wing” violence in the near future”

      Of course we will.

The general population is WAKING UP to the totalitarian sociopathic tendencies of the far-left, and the far-left will start to loose their grip, like they have in the USA.

We can clearly see in the USA what the LEFT are like when things don’t go their own way……

Like when a man is found NOT GUILTY by a court…

or a President is DULY ELECTED under the constitution.

      1. yonason (from my cell phone)

        Leftist hate on display

And neither chatbot has yet given me any relevant links to prove their false assertions.

        Check this out, as well.

Yeah, it’s a witch hunt, already.

        1. SebastianH

Read the comment sections of any right wing/conservative blog/news outlet. Especially replies to “leftist” commenters.

Read any statistic about crimes commited sorted by political affiliation and extremism.

Yeah, there are idiots on the left resorting to violence. That doesn’t excuse the massively higher willingness to express violence on the right. This isn’t about who has more idiots however. Let’s just agree violent thugs are a bad thing and you should do your best to educate them, because education is the only thing than can solve this problem. Only stupid people resort to violence when trying to solve problems.

  24. yonason (from my cell phone)
  25. yonason (from my cell phone)

I challenge the chatbots to come up with a list of Conservative violence that matches this one of leftist violence.

    Leftists lie and people die.

    Still waiting, chatbot-SebH.

Republicans are using the shooting in the Georgia election:

Sorry, but they are starting to look like the most partisan group in this discussion!

  28. sod

there is a really horrible quote here:

“Brad Carver is chairman of the Republican Party in the neighboring 11th Congressional District, which is represented by Barry Loudermilk, a member of the GOP baseball squad who was on the scene during last Wednesday’s shooting.

“I’ll tell you what: I think the shooting is going to win this election for us,” Carver said Saturday after a get-out-the-vote rally for Handel in Chamblee. “Because moderates and independents in this district are tired of left-wing extremism.””

Trump has not tweeted about the latest terror attack. Why not?

“Donald Trump tweeted about the terrorist attacks in Paris in November 2015 about 3½ hours after they occurred. The following month, he tweeted about the mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., 90 minutes after the violence began. It took fewer than 12 hours from the time an EgyptAir flight went missing in May 2016 for Trump to speculate publicly that the attack was terror-related. More than a year later, it’s still not clear what happened to the plane.

When terrorists drove a van into a crowd on London Bridge earlier this month, Trump tweeted about the need to be “smart, vigilant and tough” even before authorities identified terror as the motive behind the attack.

About 15 hours ago, as of this writing, a man drove a van into a group of Muslims near a mosque in London. The attack, which killed one person and injured 10 others, is being treated as terror-related by authorities in Britain. Prime Minister Theresa May described the attack as “every bit as sickening” as the attacks at the London Bridge and, earlier this year, on Westminster Bridge.”
