For Christmas I present to you my favourite Scrooge film – with Seymour Hicks. It’s a classic.
Let’s hope that the climate Scrooges among us, those who think that 6 billion people or more are “surplus population” and see only the dark side of everything, will open their hearts and minds for once, and stop being so pessimistic and morose about the future of our planet.
Note how both Scrooge and alarmists get mad when we burn coal and spend our money on consumerism, or advocate throwing people who think differently in prison.
If we can convert one Scrooge alarmist out there, then we can call this Christmas a success. But don’t let your expectations get to far ahead of you. The alarmists are truly a pessimistic, unhappy, and difficult-to-convert bunch. You have to view them as Nephew Fred views Scrooge.
Enjoy –
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!
Merry christmas to you, Pierre, your family, and to all readers!

ALL THE BEST FOR CHRISTMAS AND THE HOLIDAY SEASON
NASA just before Christmas reported that they had found a newly born star that looks like an angel . Has the angel come again with good news ? Where are the wisemen who can recognize the symbolic message here?
… a new star shaped like an angel…
It’s an answer to science fiction’s most famous Christmas story, of course:

Then, of course, the Star of Bethlehem (known to planetarium operators of “SoB”, as in “the annual S.O.B. show”), is traditionally depicted as a comet. We’ve got one of those, too, at the moment:

Merry Christmas, everyone.
May the Climate Scrooges all get lumps of coal in their stockings, and learn to appreciate the gift!
We have a white Christmas in southern New Mexico, about a half centimeter of dry fluffy stuff.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
Merry Christmas to all. I have one Scrooge alarmist in my environment. He also is a bit autistic and the other guests at the table, where we often have our dinner, have decided never to talk about climate issues in his presence. Otherwise, he becomes very angry which is not good for his health. So we talk about his hobbies like collecting little snails and slugs and that makes everybody happy!
P.S. Meanwhile, in this sublunary sphere:

More things from On High.
More than 50 years ago, Tom Lehrer sang in his “Christmas Carol”:

“So let the raucous sleigh bells jingle,
Hail our dear old friend Kris Kringle,
Driving his reindeer across the sky.
Don’t stand underneath when they fly by.”
I don’t think he had quite this in mind:

THE HEAVENS ARE TELLING THE GLORY OF GOD ; AND THE FIRMAMENT PROCLAIMS HIS HANDIWORK
1 The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork. 2 Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge. 3 There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard; 4 yet their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In the heavens he has set a tent for the sun, 5 which comes out like a bridegroom from his wedding canopy, and like a strong man runs its course with joy. 6 Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them; and nothing is hid from its heat.

Just a bored routine check what the warmist media in Germany say, surprise:
Focus acknowledges that there are skeptics, and that “climate change made a break” over the last decade. (But, it’s “caused” by La Nina; it’s only temporary etc.)
Bottom of page has a slideshow that explains the greenhouse effect; surprise again: they mention that water vapor is a GHG. (they don’t mention that water vapor completely dominates, though)
No mention of deep solar minimum.
Warmist media still in for a surprise of epic scales IMHO.
