Global Warming Alarmist Bill Nye Confuses Antarctic Continent With The Arctic…Doesn’t Know North From South!

Bill Nye once again makes a fool of himself, this time on NBC’s Meet The Press before a national audience. At the 8:26 mark:

Nye_Bill

“Would you say the Antarctic has less ice than it used to?”

From NBC’s Meet The Press.

Er, Bill, that graphic you’re holding up is one of the Arctic, and not the Antarctic. Nye doesn’t even know north from south!

And concerning global sea ice, today it is at near normal levels. Nye cherry-picking the single data-point of September 2012 at the single location of the Arctic is not a persuasive argument – never mind him using the wrong chart.

Finally, I’ve never seen an issue with so much consensus be so hotly disputed. Why is that so? It is because, obviously, the claimed climate consensus is a complete myth.

I would have taken both Nye and Gregory apart with half of my regular average brain tied behind my back.

What is Nye getting out of following along like he’s on a leash? What is anyone not directly connected to the power structure getting by knowingly distorting, denying and lying?
Do they honestly believe the power brokers are ever going to Knight them and give them a spot at the table or is it just enough to be part of the Royal court!?

      More TV jobs.

He dosn’t realize that after the revolution, useful idiots like him and journalists will be the first to be shipped to the gulags.

BTW, Nye’s scientific training is a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, a sound foundation from which to bloviate about climate science.

Quote Paddy: “He dosn’t realize that after the revolution, useful idiots like him and journalists will be the first to be shipped to the gulags.”

Which side of the fence does Bill Nye imagine he will be on:

I wonder how often the Grauniad guy had to rework each sentence until every one of them expressed his full disgust sufficiently; or if he naturally speaks like that. Sounds like one long Tourette’s syndrom attack.

I was a chemical engineer, and I would say we have the training and knowledge to be great climate scientists, but I think most of us would rather work on practical things rather than hold our hand out to governments looking for grant money.

I just happened to catch that sad episode for Nye. She owned him.

in magnetics, the magnetic field lines exit the north pole and enter the south pole. If you look at the magnetic field lines of earth, you would see that lines exit our “south pole” and enter in on the “north pole” which would make the poles opposite what we actually think they are. Earth “north pole” is actually a magnetic south pole and earth “south pole” is actually a magnetic north pole. Go learn some science morons.

    1. No1Uno@HomeHere

You’re an idiot. I didn’t see the words north or south pole anywhere in the article. Learn to read, Progtard. Learn some science.

Global warming is one of the most important threats to humanity. What makes you spend so much money and energy to deny it? Do you have a chip on the shoulder against scientists because you failed you O-level science exam, or are you paid by the oil industry, or you like the attention? What is it?

    1. Martin

      John,
Tell us in your words how much human emmited co2 have warmt the globe.
      From 1850 to 1998?
      From 1950 to 1998? Also 1950 to 1975?
      From 1998 to now?

      Are computer models reliable?
How sure are you about the temp will be in 50 or 100 years?

    2. DirkH

John, we wondered: What’s wrong? Why isn’t it warming? And then we looked into the climate models, and we were aghast. And we started to dig deeper, and we found a cesspool of corruption and intrigue. And we were fascinated by this; we never had seen the likes of it. And we continue to observe it, as it refuses to die. But die it will.

Yet another 20 something brain washed idiot. They just don’t know the history of their own planet.

    4. Loodt Pretorius

John, you’ve got it wrong. Time is the single most dangerous threat to all humanity, and as the clocks keep ticking, time keeps on passing by. So, in the end we are all going to die.

If you can find a way to stop the clocks, time will stop, and then people will stop dying.

Stop the clocks should be the new rallying cry for rent seeking scientists, and it is just as achievable (or preposterous) as trying to control the weather.

Why did all the chickens follow Chicken Little when she thought the sky was falling?

Of course because she was off to see the King!

And what is the American President, but a king with the powers kings had in the 18th century.

I just tried hard to answer one of the commenters at the motherjones.com site. I wonder if it will have any effect !! ….

~ There is doubt about the statistical justification for that “consensus”, mainly because of the relatively small number of scientists that were surveyed. Science isn’t based on consensus.
~ Many of the skeptics are also scientists. Being “skeptical” is part of the job description. A skeptical scientist tries to falsify a new hypothesis.
~ They don’t deny that climate changes. The global climate has long periods when it is either warming or cooling, or changing between warming and cooling. Most skeptics question if humans have any more than a negligible effect on ‘local’ climate. They remind us that the Scientific Method shows that empirical evidence and observation is very important.
~ The overwhelming scientific evidence for at least 15 years is that global average temperatures are *not increasing (not warming), despite steadily rising levels of atmospheric CO2. The hypothesis said that global average temperatures would *continue to rise*. The vast majority of the computer models agree with that.
~ “When [Kepler] found that his long cherished beliefs did not agree with the most precise observations, he accepted the uncomfortable facts. He preferred the hard truth to his dearest illusions. That is the heart of science.” – Carl Sagan.

Ladies and gentlemen…keep in mind what the honorable Secy. John Kerry has proclaimed, as picked up by the Al Jazeera news media: “Kerry: Climate change as dangerous as WMDs,” and the secondary headline: “US Secretary of State says scientific evidence of global warming due to greenhouse gas emissions is beyond doubt.” http://www.aljazeera.com/news/asia-pacific/2014/02/kerry-indonesia-discuss-climate-change-201421615828444704.html

Quoth the honorable Kerry: “”The science is unequivocal, and those who refuse to believe it are simply burying their heads in the sand,” Kerry said.

“He added that 97 percent of scientists who weighed in on the issue agree that the phenomenon is real, and argued that the cost of inaction to environments and economies will far outweigh the expense of reducing greenhouse gasses…

Gosh. Makes me wonder: Who are we to question such wisdom?

    What do y’all think?

The acid rain scare ruined countless jobs including my own in the coal industry. Truth was, Mt. Saint Helens put more SO2 into the atmosphere in one day than all of mankind. Not to mention all the other much larger volcano events during man kinds history. Yet all the hype is bought and profited on by the politicians and company’s who just wait for government to act to hysteria. Al Gore made his fortune. I lost a good job!

  13. LDG

The lunatic liberals just keep talking about “climate change” like it is a hard science not up for discussion. The morons first had to change their terminology from “global warming” to “climate change” to accomodate the extreme record cold winters, and springs in this country. Remember, these are the same morons who claimed a mere 40 years ago (the blink of an eye in Earth age) that an “ice age” was imminent! Then they get caught red-handed greasing the palms of scientists to support their mythical “global warming” Nothing here, now, move along, move along. The idiot Biden comes out and says that a “handful” of right-wing scientists doubt “global warming.” Well, Mr. “Dumbest Man in The Senate,” there are literally thousands of prominent scientists who say “global warming” is unfounded. And the poor, poor, declining polar bears that actress Downey sheds tears for…never mind that the polar bear population has quadrupled since the 1950’s. Never mind that the arctic ice cap hasn’t grown by 50% in the past decade!!!!! We are surrounded by idiots who play into Obama’s covert “cap and trade” scheme dependent upon the global warming concept. Never mind that Al Gore is going to become the first “carbon billionaire” through his lies.

I think, as a scientist or somebody who has learned to think in a critical way, that we (the critical thinkers) should be glad with the stupidities of Nyes and their likes.

“… is one of the Arctic, and not the Antarctic. Nye doesn’t even know north from south!”

Why does this remind me of a story about Al Gore telling the Washington Post that the picture of the Earth they had put in the paper was “upside-down” ?
Unless you’re Northern-Hemisphere-centric, a picture of the Erth is never upside-down.
